Overview

Reliance on faith, family and friends empowered this first generation Irish American family to tranform unspeakable tragedy into triumph over a disease that attempted to shatter them. You will laugh, cry, and share this unimaginable, inescapable journey. This story reaffims the importance of family and how the ties that bind us are stronger than the forces that attempt to tear us appart.

On another level, the story is about a promise kept, and the love between sisters that never dies.

portlandfriend More than 1 year ago
Hi I was given the book to read by a friend and coworker her name is Theresa(Terry) Viegneu Hoppes she was born and raised in centerline until she moved to Portland Michigan with her family Father Joe Mother Betty sister Julie they to were a very close family. Terry and Julie lost their mother at a young age and a couple of years ago lost their dad so your book was also very touching to her. Your brother sang at their parents funeral. (very very good I must say) anyways back to my review your book shows what love faith and family can over come. You and your husband are angels yourself you have alot to be proud of and thank you for sharing your life with many people it truly open my eyes to holding family close and enjoy ever moment again thank you Barb Hoppes
