When twenty-eight-year-old Rebecca Banks learns that her next physical therapy patient is none other than Sawyer Hayes, she stays professional, but deep down she can't help but panic. She hasn't seen Sawyer for ten years, and their last meeting ended with him giving her a spanking she would never forget. Now Sawyer is the fire chief in the small town that has become her home, and it is an injury sustained in the line of duty which has brought him back into her life.
Even as he works hard on his recovery, Sawyer's mind is on something else--repairing Rebecca's trust in him. When her deadbeat boyfriend and his family implicate her in a serious crime and she's sent to the local jailhouse to await trial, Sawyer pays her bail and brings her home with him under the condition that she obeys him... and that disobedience will have consequences.
Rebecca agrees, but when she defies her self-appointed guardian she soon finds that a hard, bare-bottom spanking is far from the most embarrassing punishment Sawyer is prepared to employ. Though Sawyer's punishments leave her with cheeks blushing as red as her well-spanked bottom, they also ignite feelings and desires she never knew she had, and soon his fierce need to dominate and lead her is matched by her growing need to obey him.
Rebecca and Sawyer's newfound romance grows quickly, but the stress of preparing for her upcoming trial continues to build and she fears the verdict will send her to prison. Can her firm-handed firefighter protect her, or will she be torn from his loving arms?

I started reading this book last night at 11:PM and could not go to sleep until I finished the book. The characters were so real, that I found myself drawn in and at one point had to put the book down because I was angry at Rebecca for leaving Sawyers house to go meet Jeff. She once again didn't think about how bad an idea it was. Of course I've knew there would be a HEA and that all the pieces would fit together. I didn't get to sleep until 4:AM but it was well worth it. Bravo Natasha.
Too short not worth it
This is one book that I just couldn't put down once I started it. From page one, I related with Rebecca right away. I was Rebecca in my past. I really could feel the connection between Sawyer and Rebecca right away. I could feel the tension at first but through the therapy the tension starts to fade away. Sawyer wants to watch out for Rebecaa and he gets the chance. Rebecca getting accused of a major crime and Sawyer puts his reputation on the line and takes her in. Sawyer has rules and when rules get broken, there are consequences which are not what Rebecca expects. Sawyer uses a little BDSM on Rebecca when she breaks rules and she starts to wise up after a few but with her being a little head strong , it takes a little bit. Sawyer and Rebecca have a love/hate relationship which I laughed and cried. Sawyer is the guy I think we all would love to have as our knight in shinning armor. This book has BDSM in it, so if you don't like a little spanking, hot sex that the heat rolls right off the pages, then this book may not be for you. But if you love a story that has all the above in it and so much more, buy this book and while reading it you may need a cold shower.
First off I have never been a fan of men in uniform romances that is until now. Natasha has changed my mind. Rebecca is someone I could relate to on many levels especially about keeping things to myself which became unfortunate for Rebecca. Her being forgetful, keeping things to herself cause a huge mess not only for her but also puts Sawyer's reputation on the line. Sawyer and Rebecca have never stopped having feelings for each other. Sawyer made some mistakes in the past which caused Rebecca to leave but as fate would have it, bought them back together. She learns she can trust Sawyer again. Sawyer is determined to not let the best thing that has ever happened to him slip away again. Sawyer teaches Rebecca the error of her ways through spanking and a few other methods that you are just going to have to read about to find out what they are. This story does more than catch fire and will leave you panting to reach a resolution that makes you happy to read to very end. I look forward to reading more of Natasha Knight's men in uniform stories.
The Firefighter's Girl has earned Natasha Knight a lifetime fan. While I have read and reviewed other stories by Natasha none of them hold a candle to this story. I was very impressed and quickly engrossed in The Firefighter's Girl. Sawyer has been given a second. He lost Rebecca once and ten years later an injury in the line of duty has brought himself back into her life. He ends having Rebecca as his physical therapist and attraction is strong between them. Rebecca has a deadbeat boyfriend, Jeff who only mooches off her and wants nothing more from her. She has been wanting to leave him but cannot bring herself to do it for fear of what he will do. When she is suddenly framed for a crime she knows she didn't commit, it brings her into Sawyer's safety and a firm spanking. I love Rebecca because she is spunky, determined, and stubborn as hell. She finds it preposterous that she gains pleasure being over Sawyer's need but cannot ignore the attraction budding between them. Sawyer's kind heart swooned from the beginning with his sheer determination to keep Rebecca in life and far away from Jeff. Natasha Knight has helped me gain strength and courage with events in my own life and for that I am grateful. She has shown us in a short amount of pages how strong and courageous you can be against emotional abuse. It isn't always the physical that's the worst. I know when Natasha has a new release I am in for a good story but nothing she has written hold a candle to The Firefighter's Girl.
