Can the last place she needs to be become the first night of her forever?

She planned to meet her coworkers for drinks and be home in a few hours. Getting drunk and staying out all night was not an option. Not for Kayla Dobbs. Going to a bar was already pushing her limits. Between her full-time job and night classes, there was no time to spare for a social life, and certainly no time for a relationship. But when she meets Gannon, the sexy bartender whose hypnotic eyes seem to follow her every move, she wishes things could be different.

Although Kayla doesn't recognize him, Gannon knows exactly who she is--she was the one girl in high school he'd always wanted but had been afraid to pursue. He's changed a lot since high school though, and maybe now he has a chance at making that dream come true.

As she breaks free from her self-induced lifestyle of studying and work, Kayla realizes that no matter how concrete her life plan is, sometimes it only takes one night, one person, to alter it forever.

Rating: 3.5 Stars It common for girls to have their insecurities, but it’s really something when guys get insecure. Sometimes it’s cute, most of the time it’s frustrating as hell especially when they think they’re not good enough for you. Meet Gannon – he was a loser during high school, but decided to change his fate when he reached college. Gone was the nerd-acne-filled face, he was now hot, and girls go after him. But he only wanted one girl – someone from high school. Someone who has a kind face, but never really gave him the attention that he wanted. Kayla’s life revolves in work and study. She had no time for social life, much more a relationship. So going to a bar was a surprise to her friend, much more to herself. Then she met Gannon, the sexy bartender, who couldn’t get his eyes off her. He looked vaguely familiar but she couldn’t place where she met him. He confused her, though – he was hot, and then cold. He wanted her, then he would shove her away. Will one night be ever enough for the both of them? Theirs was a rollercoaster ride fueled by a pent-up longing and intense desire. It might be short, but these two would have you a little bit crazed – wondering if they’ll ever get around and finally admit that they’re perfect for each other. The First Night – it was short, sizzling, sexy and uber-hot. *ARC Copy was given in exchange for an honest review.

Good story line, the characters were likeable. However i wished it was longer, needed more time to develope and wished for more indepth writing. It felt rushed and boom! They are together and the end. I liked the book but i didn't love it.
