Exciting and suspenseful! I was quickly reeled in and did not want to put the book down. What seems to be a petty crime is but one submerged layer of cartel and money laundering conspiracy. Funderburk paints an intimate portrait of the characters, including what certain members believe are secret. Criminal activity in the Panhandle of Florida stretches across the Gulf. Investigator Chic Sparks, a multi-talented member of The Fish House Gang, is relentless in his efforts to expose connections. Suzy comes with impressive surprises and adds spice to the otherwise serious business of murder and drug trafficking detective work. Funderburk brings the reader into real life dangers, car chases, personal contemplation and the rewards of friendship. This novel leaves the reader waiting on the edge. Looking forward to a sequel!!
