What if 77,000 votes had gone the other way in the 2016 presidential election? What if it were Hillary Clinton who won the Electoral College vote and Donald Trump who won the popular vote? Is is possible the world could be even crazier?

Arguing (and tweeting) the results are "proof" the election was "rigged," in The Flip Flop Donald Trump not only refuses to concede, he builds his own replica White House atop his Washington hotel; creates his own cabinet (with one member eliminated on the new NBC program, "The Apprentice: Presidential Cabinet," every week); launches an IPO for The Great Trump Wall, Inc., and feasts upon the adoration of tens of millions of Americans who truly believe he is the real president of the United States.

For Donald Trump, it's the greatest of all dream scenarios come true–he gets to play the victim while being perceived as the rightful president and never has to do any of that presidential stuff like reading or paying attention. For Hillary Clinton, the election results make the name Lewinsky almost sound nostalgic as she grapples to establish the legitimacy of her administration (perhaps her own reality show?) and find some way to respond to an unpredictable opponent who isn't going away, all the while never learning a single lesson from the election.

At its core The Flip Flop is really about velcro nature of the convictions held by Americans and the media. Today's opposition is tomorrow's support, and all it takes to change opinions, beliefs and outrage is which side said what and which network has reported it and how.

The Flip Flop is a political satire that is funny and sharp, exposing the hypocrisies of both parties and the gullibility of much of the nation, while creating a "reality" that isn't, but easily could be.

This is laugh-out loud funny because it feels so real. Hard to decide which is more bizarre--the real world we're right now, or the world as described in The Flip Flop.
