This is the book that gives you all the intricate little "how-to"s for tying simple and complex trout patterns. And often, there are multiple techniques offered to choose from, so picking one that is suited to my tying style is easier than adapting my style to something completely different. This is a book that is worth the investment.
Beginners, intermediate, and advanced tiers will absolutely enjoy and keep this reference book on hand at all times. This is one reference book needed in any tier's library. At the beginners stage it helps you with all the needed procedures, methods, and tips to great fly tying. As you become a better craftsman and need more skills, this is the book to go to for that information. Even advanced tiers will find information to assist their skills in this reference book, especially with all the great illustrations and photos to make your skills better. I know several professional tiers who have this at the bench side when ever they sit down. It was recommended to me by a fly fishing guide and tier and I recommend it to you as well.
This book is incredible! I have been tying for 14 years and have tied for 7 years professionally and I have found this book to be both great for seasoned veterans of the sport as well as my students new to the bench.
In immediate memory I have been done two favours in Fly tying the first was being introduced to the Hobby, the second was in being urged to buy this utterly complete and awesome work!
