The FODMAP diet is a great book for those suffering from digestive disorders or just looking to change their diet. This easy to follow book spells out everything you need in an easy to follow format. All the guides, recipes, and even a fourteen-day diet are spelled out in the back. There is also a guide for dining out.

As a sufferer of occasional IBS symptoms, I found this book to be a great guide for educating myself on what I should and shouldn't be eating when my digestive system is acting up. It's very easy to follow and the recipes are great!

I don't know about you, but just because something tastes good going down, doesn't mean it is good for the body. Fodmap Solutions identified some symptoms I thought were normal and gave me a game plan to fix my allergic reactions to these foods. The best part of this book are the recipes. I feel like I got two books in one. Knowledge is not only power, but in this case it is yummy!

The FODMAP SOLUTION: A Low FODMAP Diet Plan and Cookbook to Manage IBS and Improve Digestion is a straightforward plan to help combat digestive disorders (Ex. IBS) that affect many people. Highly processed foods, as well as natural foods, contain elements that can trigger digestive distress, ex. dairy products and certain fruits. FODMAP is an acronym for the scientific categories that these foods are found in. By following a low FODMAP diet with healthy guidelines and preparing the 83 wholesome recipes in the book, relief from gastric distress may be right in your kitchen! Recipes don't feel restrictive and offer many food choices so that dietary guidelines are manageable.

The recipes are fantastic. I have lots of friends who have digestive disorders, and it’s always difficult to find easy adaptations so that everyone can eat together. This book is a great go-to resource for that. On the other hand, the advice the authors give is mostly based on webMD and similar websites, which is not the best call for diagnosing such a serious condition. I’d ignore the first half of the book and skip straight to the recipes.

This book had good information regarding digestion diseases and ways in which you can eat to help reduce the effect they have on your life. My favorite parts of this book were the list of foods that are helpful and the recipes that you can make with these types of ingredients. Great book!

I liked this. I do notice the feeling of health when I am eating properly. Cooking up new recipes is fun too. ;>)

This book lays out a great strategy for determining problematic foods for folks with IBS or other chronic digestive problems. By following the authors' recommendations, people may be able to eliminate a lot of their food-related misery without relying on pills that may only address symptoms. The authors also include many tasty-looking recipes that reduce or eliminate likely culprits.

As unfamiliar as I was with the The FODMAP Solution, after reading up on its benefits on the digestive system, I'm certainly compelled to give it a try. The diet plan eliminates particular foods that force your digestive system to work much harder than it needs to. I was surprised to find that many foods I'd always assumed were good for me, were actually on the "foods to avoid" list. Even healthy foods can be high-FODMAP, and are not recommended for various intestinal issues they cause. The science behind the diet is to eliminate particular fruits, vegetables, dairy products, etc. and then reintroduce those foods to your determine what foods work well with you and which ones do not. The recipes seem easy, and the diet seems easy to stick to.

I would say the book is ok. I don’t know if I would personally try this diet but I think it has some merit for those that suffer from digestive disorders. The recipes look tasty and it doesn't seem too difficult to keep up with. Go for it if you want a change.

This book was very helpful in showing me some of the ways someone could deal with having a digestive disorder.  It included some of the recipes for someone who has such disorder, covering meals at different times of the day. Also included are helpful tips and some other lifestyle changes that could help you.

Someone recommended this book to me, knowing that my Mother suffers from severe digestive disorders. It offers a lot of helpful information under the theory that specific foods cause these disorders and that there is a way to figure out how to get a handle on them. The book offers phases on how to remove and then reintroduce foods into your diet to find out what works for you and what doesn’t. I am eager to share this information with my Mother, since I have heard nothing but great things.

Many of their recipes are fantastic, even if you're not on the FODMAP diet. This makes it a lot easier to be on the FODMAP myself while simultaneously giving my family something yummy. Their recipes for chicken curry and sloppy joes look amazing – healthy, without sacrificing taste.

Got gas? Is your stomach always bloated? After eating do you suffer from heartburn, indigestion or do you suffer from a more serious digestive disorder, such as, irritable bowel syndrome or acid reflux? This book is a good guide on things to eat that won't make you uncomfortable if you have a GI tract disorder like IBS. It avoids sensationalism and the recipes look like good common sense, so while I don't have personal experience of these disorders, the recipes themselves are quite well done. - DamienW

I've had to deal with mild digestive issues my whole life, and it was great to come across such simple recipes (of some of my favorite meals) that have stomach-friendly substitutes. The writing is friendly and clear, and I'm looking forward to using this to make better choices for my body!

This is a great menu and diet for changing to a healthier eating plan without getting all drastic. The meal plans are clear and easy to follow. The ingredients are affordable and easy to find, I really like the great ideas for oat crusted cod instead of wheat flour batter and carrot muffins and with coconut and almond flour. Nothing off the wall or extreme, but healthy and complete.

We always try to eat “Healthy” but when my wife and I plan out our dinners, digestive well-being sometimes takes a backseat to taste. The FODMAP Solution combines taste, digestive health, and nutritional balance.

If you already know about FODMAP foods but don’t know where to start about eliinating them from your diet, this book is pretty helpful. One reason is the detailed explanation about why these foods create digestive problems, and the FAQ section that covers things like weight loss. The food lists and recipes are easy to understand and include everyday things anyone can find and prepare, so it’s a useful introduction to making healthier food choices.

A pretty decent read for those who have IBS. I felt like they could've done more with the menu, but there is an impressive array of food choices to pick from when it comes to the actual menu. A decent guide but I'd look to see if there were better alternatives.

If you have stomach problems it might be because you are eating foods that are hard for you to digest. FODMAP is an acronym for ingredients in foods that have a history of being hard to digest. This book helps you to understand what high FODMAP and low FODMAP foods and how to find the right foods for you. There are a lot of meal plans, a lot of recipes so you never feel deprived. And your stomach will thank you.

This is a great plan to help digestive disorders. It's easy to follow, and it gives your body the chance to learn to tolerate very enjoyable foods again instead of just telling you to eliminate them from your life permanently. I like that.

This book is the best!  The information in it is spot on and I am so excited to read it and feel so much better for having done so!   Explains so much about why some of the simplest foods that everyone takes for granted have been causing me so much discomfort.   This book is very easy to read, clear and concise information and very easy to follow meal plan and recipes and a lot of common  sense too.
