Overview

In 1988, Charlotte only wanted three things: to turn 16, get her driver's license, and have a steady boyfriend. She goes for a walk in the woods behind her house with her dog when she discovers that she can transfer her spirit back in time and into the body of a Native American girl, named Nahele. She quickly falls in love with the mysterious people in the past, most especially, her soon-to-be husband, Tetonka. Just when she thinks that her new life is with this magnificent tribe, she is lead back to her own time by her spirit animal.

She struggles to explain what is happening to her best friend, all the while avoiding the advances of a jealous ex-boyfriend, Kale. When handsome new guy, Brock, comes to her school, she is suddenly interested in getting to know him better. Unfortunately, Kale seems determined to have her all to himself and sabotages every chance she gets to be with someone else.

Switching back and forth between lives with the help of her spirit animals, she seeks information from the Medicine Woman. Just when she starts to get answers, her village is attacked. Putting her life and the lives of her loved ones in danger.

I’m truly enjoying reading an incredible book by our one and only Christine DeYoung. She just released it and I’m fascinated by what’s she has written. It’s definitely a blast from the past. She talks about music and movies from our era. She talks about our Alma Mater and cruising the strip. I smile at every fond memory. I hope each and every one of you buy her book immediately.
