His one great desire is to return home and become the new guardian of his many animal friends in the Forest of Allund. These large and highly intelligent animals eagerly await his arrival to take the place of the former guardian and Alexio's master. As he travels to his forest home, he becomes reacquainted with many of his childhood human friends he knew before his illness. They welcome him back and support his goal to take the place of his dead master.

Upon his arrival in the forest he finds he is not alone. A young Amazon squatter has taken up residence in the long abandoned home. About the Author

Wilbur Arron is the pseudonym of a retired Professional Engineer and Project Manager that has worked throughout the country. A widower in his 60s, he has lived through the latter half of the 20th century and witnessed many of the great scientific and technical breakthroughs that have formed our modern world. After spending forty years in technical management and engineering, he decided he wanted to try a new field of endeavor. An early user of personal computers and the Internet (Then Arpanet), he now spends some of his time searching the net for interesting and informative stories. A life long fan of Fantasy and Science Fiction, he was always interested in writing, but never had the time or opportunity to do it properly. Now in retirement, he has that time to dedicate to this new career.

He has been an attendee at Worldcons and other conventions going back to the 1980s. He is also interested in war-gaming and strategic studies. He does not confine himself to modern day studies either. He is also well acquainted with ancient history, early societies, and ancient technology. Although his interests in the past extend to all eras and societies, he specializes in the Greco-Roman period. He has spoken often on the history of science and the use of technology throughout the ages.

Writing allows him to combine his love of science, technology, and ancient history. The Forest of Allund is his first major work of his own fiction, although he has written many stories that can be found in several of the short story and fan fiction websites. He has often written under the name Wilber Arron
