Wonderfully honest and blameless true story of Rob's path from a lost little boy to a lost big boy to a strong recovered alcohol/addict man and devoted father, and loyal friend.

I haphazardly came across this book and was taken in by the cover. While I give the author a lot of credit for overcoming his addiction, the book itself was difficult to read - the writing did not flow very well and I simply could not identify with his experiences. I feel that the author spent too much time and energy trying to show that he was and currently is successful - (even when under the influence of drugs and alcohol the author incessantly points out how athletic/intelligent he was) - and less on the message of the courage and strength it took to overcome his addictions.

This book has remained with me in spirit since page one. I suspect it will have a lasting, profound impact on its audience. It is a transparent and honest reflection of the writer's turbulent adolescence and adult journey toward redemption. He writes with such detailed memory and courage, that it is no wonder it is so engrossing. While it is excruciating at times, and your heart bleeds for this boy, there is humility and spirit and perseverence. It is an inspirational outreach. I recommend this book and have gifted it and will continue to do so.

I am blessed to know Rob and I have heard brief overviews of his "story". However, I never imagined Rob's "story" was as riveting and amazing as it is. This is the only book that I have ever read cover to cover in one day, and it was absolutely amazing! (I plan to read it again) I would, and have, recommended Rob's book to everyone, especially those who have struggled with a "Fracture Life". Rob is an incredible example of what people can do when they decide to make a change. Rob shares how he went from having almost nothing and feeling that he had no where to go; to living a life he never dreamed was possible. A life filled with happiness, peace, and forgiveness. Rob's book has changed my life!

3743 - is a look at the dark side and the struggle of one man to break through to the light. The reader gets to see how his childhood shaped him - raw and painful as it was- into a man with both issues and strength. His strength keeps him moving forward through abuse and addiction to the place where he can consciously connect to the spiritual universe and the people who can help him. A moving and honest (things a lot of us would not share) true story.
