Every change in Rohit's life is like a turn of a wheel, for good or for bad, but it is not in his hands as someone else governs the circling of his fate. In the early1980s, Rohit, a fresh graduate engineer commences his career in a steel factory located in a remote tribal region in central India. The journey starts with his youthful frolics within a team of young professionals and his budding relationship with a tribal girl that leads to a transformation in him. Thus starts his zealous crusade for getting just compensation to the distressed tribal villagers, who have been evacuated from their lands and deprived of their livelihood due to the construction of a dam and power plant. His roller-coaster journey is beset with the job challenges, factory intrigues and blackmail, compounded by intense societal barriers to his effervescent romantic relationship. In search of greener pastures, he moves to the USA where he progresses gradually and, supported by the technology revolution in the nineties, rises to the ranks of techno-elites in the Silicon Valley by the turn of the century. But he is beleaguered by his crumbling family relationships and by the growing conflicts between assimilating the foreign culture and retaining the traditional values of his own country. Ultimately, he returns to his roots in India where he finds a true and satisfying relationship and realizes that his life has come full circle.
