Loren D. Estleman in his book, “Sherlock Holmes Vs. Dracula” a Book in the The Further Adventures of Sherlock Holmes series published by Titan Books brings us the previously untold adventures of Sherlock Holmes versus the original Dracula. From the Back Cover: Holmes among the undead After a mysterious schooner runs aground in an English harbor with no human passengers — only the dead captain, drained of blood — a series of bizarre nocturnal crimes takes place in London. It can only be the work of Count Dracula, and only one man can save the city: the world’s greatest detective, Sherlock Holmes. Arthur Conan Doyle and Bram Stoker wrote about the same time when they created their immortal characters: Sherlock Holmes and Dracula. Loren D. Estleman, clearly, is a fan of both these men and he came up with the brilliant idea of having these two characters clash in England. Holmes is the only man who can save the Empire as the cast from both books join forces in a terrific adventure. If you are a fan of Sherlock Holmes you will certainly enjoy this adventure. Mr. Estleman does a superb job of writing in the voice of Dr. Watson as he narrates this story. Mr. Estleman has given us a clever joining of the two literary creations and has done both of them a real service while giving us a real treat.
