What a great storyteller Ginny Baird is!! I thoroughly enjoyed the book. She sure got me with the surprise ending...did NOT see that coming. I emailed Ginny to let her know how much I enjoyed the book and she promptly emailed right back. Very nice woman and a great writer. Don't miss reading this one.

I dont agree with the bad reviews, and I never usually state that on rating boards. But I had to voice my opinion on the bad reviews as I did not think they were accurate at all. the ending was neat and different from any books Ive read which was refreshing. I also did not recall any editing issues that would stand out or bother anyone. And she writes wonderfully, not like a ten year old...I dont know how someone would even come up with that. How could you say that? She is a wonderful writer, her characters and setting descriptive but not overly so. Her character development was also great and gave you a glimpse if each persons true character. I am just a reader that happened upon this book so I hope others will take my word on this as true. This was a great book if you like surprise endings...unique ones and there is a happily ever after! Thanks for a great read!

Loved the book till the end.  The whole story was very good but the ending (to me anyway) seemed a little to fast.  I really wasn't to sure what happened, or am I just slow at understanding what happened at the end?  Other then that, characters were interesting.

Wow - I never saw the ending coming, and you probably won't either. Blayton, Virginia, by the Blue Ridge Mountains, is a sparse area where residents come and go. The newest residents, Elizabeth and her 15-year-old daughter Claire have just arrived and are welcomed by Nathan, the sheriff of Blayton. Relationships form, high school bullies present themselves, the Internet is down, phone communication is rare, and spooky things happen. Everything moves along as expected in a love story, and then everything changes. I was enchanted. Again, wow! [I purchased this story with a gift card received from the author and because I loved The House at Homecoming Cove.]

Kept my interest. Until I got to the end, I thought it might be getting a bit slow. But, it didn't disappoint. Needs editing.
