This book has been my bible for 7 or 8 years. I've bought a dozen copies here and there of this and his other three books for other people also. It helped me go from 230lbs to 155 lbs and when I gain more than just a little I go right back to it. Never fails me. Even at 57. Couple this with a product called WheyLow that I discovered about 4 years ago and you can't go wrong. Wheylow is a natural sweetener made with 1/4 sugar and milk whey. Look it up at www.wheylow.com. I have just learned of the three levels of the G.I. diet 2 weeks ago. I have not weighed in but my clothes are fitting better already, but my mental and physical energy is thru the roof. I have always searched for ways to teach (my now teenage children) how to eat and live life to their fullest God given abilities. Thanks!!! I will pass it on.

Simple approach to a healthy life. Highly adaptable to anyone especially if you are a snacker. 5-6 meals a day --- I eat more now than ever but my life no longer centers around food. I can't say enough good things.

I have only been using the G.I. Diet for 2 1/2 weeks and have lost 23 lbs. This book is the best combination of all the diet ideas out there and really works. Buy it, Read it, Do it.

I've bought at least 20 copies of this book for my friends and myself. I also gave a copy to the dietitian at the my gym, she thought it was teriffic. It's the same advice only made simple. No I'm not a health nut, I'm fat and need to fix it. The trouble with most diets is they're complicated ... and you get hungry. This book goes to extraordinary lengths to keep it the whole process simple, good foods (green) vs bad foods (red) and explains how to avoid getting hungry and blowing your diet. Need to take a break and eat out with friends? Go ahead, do it, just don't make a habit of it. It's a lifestyle change but one you can live with ... literally.

Very good. I lost a lot of weight on this diet. 50 pounds to be exact. If you stick to it, you will too.
