Overview

A dozen lives, worlds apart, each dealt an unfair hand. Most choose greed and self-gratification to compensate. A few choose the pursuit of justice. When they clash, which ones prevail?
Avery Perelle is an elusive billionaire born a suspected bastard who climbed to a position of power beyond the limits of organized crime. Dr Randy Denson is a widower who promised his dying wife he would go beyond the lab and pursue the puppeteers behind the worst of crimes. The winding road that bring Avery and Denson face to face is filled with characters, events, crimes and love stories that will keep the reader on edge throughout the journey.

I wasn't sure what to expect so I started reading this on a long flight thinking it would be something to do before I turned on the laptop and do some work. I never got to the laptop. The story and the characters kept me spell-bound until I finished the entire book. Great story, great characters (even the nasty ones) and great ending.

Mystery blended with history. So many surprises. Clever crimes and unique characters. Quite intense throughout. Highly recommended.

Although I hated what Avery did, I felt sorry for him sometimes. I liked how the characters grew (some worse and some better) and how the stories blended together. I really like the ending.

Poorly written, sophmoric dialog. I forced myself to read about half of it and could take no more. Don't waste your time reading this garbage. Don Hewett
