The pretty red hair girl Isabella strikes again I am so happy that there is a 3rd book in the series. I LOVED Isabella, the red hair girl and her families adventure. There is no dull moment about the McGruder family. This book is full of twist and turns aside from Isabella's wittiness. Isabella always amazes me. The pretty red hair strikes again to save herself and her family from the bad guy. First, I am so glad that Bailey's nightmare is solved. Poor woman she suffered a lot when Isabella was a baby. Good thing she is happy. Secondly, you can always rely on your family to help one another. Thank you Rose for that. The author Chris Birdy will keep you guess and entertain. This book is a fun read, full of mystery, a little bit hot and funny too. I really enjoyed reading the book. It is hard to put it down. I highly recommend this book if you love mystery. Disclosure: I received the paperback copy for review. All my thoughts and opinions are 100% honestly mine.

This is the 3rd installment in this trilogy by Chris Birdy. I have now read all three and still am wanting more! Isabella grabbed onto my heart in book one and hasn't let go yet. She is a precocious little girl who 100% takes after her risk taking father. You'll want to grab a glass of wine and settle in for the night once you download this book to your iPad! Birdy's writing style lures in the reader and the captivating story lines keep them locked in for the long haul. I really like how she touches on everyday life issues while tackling the main plot line without missing a beat.

A fun filled murder mystery with a laugh along the way, The Girl in Red Pajamas is a must read. From the get go a murder in a Boston restaurant gets the pages turning and you just can’t stop turning to the next. You aren’t just taken on a murder mystery, but through darkened secrets being uncovered , an unlikely love interest , and somewhere along the way justice is set to be served. Through ups and down, laughs and confrontations, you’re on the edge of your seat trying to figure out who’s really the culprit. One murder has lead the story through many lives, and you don’t know where things will end up next. I loved that just when I thought things would be uncovered and go as planned, it went the complete opposite ( or did it!?) . It kept a good solid pace and didn’t disappoint. Who was the real murderer? And will all the secrets being uncovered frame the wrong person? Or will true justice be served? You won’t know until you pick it up! Chris Birdy has done an incredible job with this story! I have not gotten the chance to read the other books in the series, and it would probably be best if done .There are so many wonderful characters to get to know, and they seem so well formed I bet through the other stories they had grown over the time and events throughout the book. I enjoy reading and being able to see characters grow through each page turn, you get such a better feel for them and really start to know each person. This is the third book in the series, and it seems like everyone is so well fitted I have missed some great read in the first two books. If you enjoy a great mystery, a good laugh and a near good cry, you’ll want to pick up The Pajama Series by Chris Birdy. If the previous two are anything like the first two they are a must read. Great mystery, a little thrill, lots of fun and it’ll put a smile on your face. Check out the other books below. * I received a copy of the book in exchange for my honest review, any and all opinions are my own

This is the first book in this series that I have read. I felt like I was given enough background to understand what was going on but after this one I really want to read the first two. This book was one that sucked me in from the start. It was funny and full of action and mystery. Chris Birdy does a good job of taking us through the characters lives and getting to know them better. I loved reading and figuring out who the murderer was. Great read!

This book is hilarious, I can't remember how many times I laughed out loud. I absolutely loved it! A lot of it had to do with Isabela, she is a smart little 4 year old that reminds me so much of my 4 year old. I also loved that this book takes place in Boston, my hometown. I love books that have settings in places I know. I love how all the characters in this book are very believable, they are rough, flawed, and sensitive. I want to see more of these characters. I would love a book where we get to see Isabela as a young woman. This book goes fast because it's a real page turner. It's one of those that you absolutely can not put down. Even though this is the third and sadly the final book in this series, it's a great stand alone read. I have not read the other two books in this series and enjoyed this one a lot! I am definitely going to have to read the other two!

I definitely need to get my hands on the first two in this series! I read this as a standalone and even though it covers a bit of the history, I would love to read them in sequence. It's full of mystery, intrigue and a quirky humor that I found extremely endearing. My favorite character instantly became Isabella - she made the book for me! The transition from start to finish was solid and didn't make me feel like I was going in circles as I often do with mysteries. With all of the social issues today surrounding relationships of any type and religion, I like how this book shows that families and friends can be at odds at times but there is always a way to come to a neutral point. It's hard to not bring personal feelings into any murder when it involves family and I love how real and deep the feelings were expressed. Can't wait to read the first two! I received this book to review through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, all the opinions above are 100% my own.

I was very excited to see how Isabella's story would continue to play out. She is such an amazing (and moderately scary) little girl that I literally can't get enough of her! Of course, it was wonderful to continue the other characters' stories. I love watching the relationships play out and the characters continue to grow. Unsurprisingly, Bogie is in the middle of a horrific mystery, and he's trying to juggle his family, his (multiple) careers, and try to help his loved ones all at once. This is definitely a satisfying end to the series, but I'd love to see Isabella as a teen! I received this book to review through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, all the opinions above are 100% my own.

Wow. After reading the first two books in this series, I had high expectations for this book & it definitely did not disappoint! I always love how the story bounces between Florida & Boston, but imagine my surprise when a place I grew up near & visited quite often made an appearance in the story! I was pulled in even more, because now I had another connection besides the characters I've grown to love (or tolerate). Add in a mystery to solve from the past, along with the current mystery at hand, and I just couldn't seem to put this book down! Filled with murder, mystery, family drama, revelations, controversy & of course "sweet" Isabella who is able to save the day at just 5 years old! I received this book to review through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, all the opinions above are 100% my own.

What a journey this Trilogy has been. As we are closing in on little (very smart) Isabela's 5th birthday in this final addition to the trilogy, more mystery and intrigue await readers. Lots of twists occur when Delores is killed and the leading suspect is Ann (sister to Bogie). Our hero Bogie has dealt with many of the eccentric people in his immediate and extended family... along with raising Isabela and running his Detective Agency. Bogie always seems to solve things when problems are thrown his way. With all the turns in this case, he may have met his match. Chris Birdy has made it so easy to become a part of Bogie and Isabela's family. She clearly expresses the fears and feelings of her characters.

I am a huge fan of the Girl in Pajamas series and was so excited when I learned that there was a third one! Some time has elapsed since I read the previous one so I was a little rusty on the history, but everything was brought up to speed fairly easily. This can definitely be read as a stand alone without being lost, but I highly, highly recommend reading the previous two. You won’t regret it. They are amazing books! As with many of my favorite mysteries, The Girl in Red Pajamas has several little issues going on in addition to the big “mystery” which keeps your attention and really pulls you into the story more. I was happy to see that Isabella is still Isabella and she makes me grateful for my children! If you have never “met” Isabella, just keep in mind – she’s 4, almost 5 (I promise you will forget that more than once!) I am a huge fan of Chris Birdy and this entire series. If more come out, I will be right there waiting. The Girl in Pajama series definitely ranks among my all time favorite series!

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. When I heard the description for this book I just knew I had to read it. Luckily I was able to get my hands on the first two books. I highly suggest you do that. I absolutely loved this series. I just wish Chris would do a novella about Jack and George. I'd love to hear more about them and how they met. I would also love a comic about Isabella since she is one awesome little girl. She's my favorite character in the series. This is the third book and you can read it by itself but it is so much better when you read all three of them. I love the characters in this book and it is wonderful to see diversity. I'll admit that I was a little overwhelmed when I first started reading the first book because there are a lot of characters but Chris is able to weave everyone together like a master. I can't wait to read more by this author. I also really love that Chris shows the lives of the people in this book who are all pretty much like family either by blood or choice. Instead of having the bulk of the attention on the big problem that's going on which is a murder you get to read about the characters lives as they are working on figuring out who killed the victim. Other books I've read that are thrillers tend to follow a certain formula which I do enjoy but Chris takes things a step further by allowing the reader to see what these characters do in their everyday lives. Sure something major is going on but there are also normal types of problems so these characters are very easy to relate to. I was sucked into this series from the start.

Laugh out Loud Funny, this book is an amazing read! This is one of those books that you just don't want to end! When I saw the pages slowly getting fewer and fewer to the end, and my percentage read, slowly going up, I was getting sad, however, it's just one of those books you just can't seem to put down! While this book IS a part of a series, it can also be read as a stand alone. The characters all work well together and the twists and turns keep the anticipation high. As dysfunctional as this group of family and friends is, I think I'd fit right in. Isabela is one of the smartest little 4 years olds that I've ever "met", maybe even a little too smart for her own good! I would love to see this author do a series about how she turns out when she gets older. It can only be just as good!

I don't think you could find a more dysfunctional group of family and friends if you tried!! And little 4 year old Isabela is one smart little lady--a bit too smart for her own good. She is an accomplished Ninja, loves sword play and doing anything for Da Dee--or to protect those around her. Of course being 4 she doesn't really understand what some of the ramifications could be--but in dire circumstances (like when she is caught)-she can play the I'm just a little girl very well. Luckily she takes after her Dad who more or less knows how to handle her--more or less--and he is the only semi sane one in the bunch--but then he is not really from that family. I read this whole series and thoroughly enjoyed the ride--even though I found myself cringing at some of what went on-I mean really. I think I might have been tempted to put a leash on that child and keep her eternally attached--if only for my sanity and her good!!

When Bogie’s sister is accused of murdering her live-in girlfriend, he helps the police in the investigation. This wasn’t an easy task as he is also involved in raising an out-of-control precocious four-almost-five-year-old, and trying to pry the secret out of his wife that keeps surfacing in her dreams. There is no doubt that sooner, rather than later, everything will come to a head. I hate to see this series end. I have come to love all the quirky characters, and the trouble that seems to always follow them. They are the ultimate blended family, with friends that always seem to make matters worse. It would be delightful to find out how Isabel turns out in her adult life. Now that’s a story worth pondering.

Another great offering from one of my favourite authors. Chris Birdy is an amazing write and I love the way she has completed this excited trilogy. This book can be read and enjoyed even if you haven't read Chris's other work but I would highly recommend reading the whole series. Chris has a way of drawing the reader into the story, making them feel part of the plot, experiencing all the emotions. Very exciting, I loved it!

This is one of the best books I've read in a long time. It's a murder mystery and family drama mixed in with Birdy's view of the world.

"The Girl in Red Pajamas" by author Chris Birdy is the third in last book in the "Pajamas Trilogy". Two lesbians are fighting in a restaurant in Boston. Later on when one of the fighters was found dead in the other's car everyone thinks that she did it. The police think she did it and are really trying to find a way to prove it. Bogie McGruder has a problem, one is his old girlfriend and the other his sister. He has a daughter that he also has to worry about and try to keep her out of trouble. Who really is the killer? I give this book a 4/5. I was given this book for a review. These are all my opinions. - See more at: http://dealsharingaunt.blogspot.com/2016/01/the-girl-in-red-pajamas-by-chris-birdy.html#sthash.sMVvdGyL.dpuf

I was initially attracted to this book because the cover intrigued me when I saw it was available for review. Since then that cover has been omitted from some of the publicity so it doesn't have quite the same curiosity factor. This is the third in a series & while I could read it as a stand alone I feel I would have benefited strongly from reading the previous two first. There are a lot of complexities that took some absorbing & this distracted me from the overall story. Some of the characters were interesting to say the least, the child really wound me up at times. Isabella is approaching 5 & 'gifted' & doesn't she let everyone know it! It's bit like being a 'fly on the wall' watching how this family interacts & copes on a daily basis .. there are some amusing moments & you kind of forget there is a murder being investigated. So to sum up, it was entertaining, not what I was anticipating & I didn't feel I fully connected maybe because of that, but the writing is steady & if you view it as a trilogy that is slightly quirky I'm sure there are many people who will love it.

Welcome to the third instalment of Chris Birdy's excellent series. The storyline revolves around a murder and the adverse effect it has on each of the characters and how they cope . Within each chapter, a story is told and then the author expertly brings them together to make an excellent conclusion. Everyone will be able to touch base with the emotions and feelings in the book when you face a difficult situation and find out who you can really rely for support. The characters grow throughout and their traits come to the fore. The star of the show, of course, is Isabella, a highly intelligent young girl who needs to be constantly given a new challenge or mayhem ensues and when both her parents are involved in solving the murder the story really takes off. An excellent read which is page turning and keeps the reader enrapt.
