What would you do if your child, who went missing at only six months old, turned up on your doorstep? Simone and her husband Matt have to figure out if Grace, the woman who says she’s their long-missing daughter, is in fact telling the truth. The writing was all right, but you have to suspend credibility a bit – no one calls the cops at the appropriate times, and the characters didn’t always seem realistic. Wow, I am still trying to pick my jaw up off the floor after this ending. It is so creepy crazy. There was absolutely no way I saw the ending coming. It was like a foul ball to left field that hit me right in the head. I was stunned. I'm still stunned and I finished reading the book 30 minutes ago and I've had two cigarettes! There was a point when some of the characters were watching a video and I almost put the book down and DNF as I was somewhat nauseous. Was it snuff or not? Fortunately, even the characters couldn't tell, so I put on my big girl panties and read on. Fortunately, that was the worst part of the book in regards to sex. The other parts just said enough to let you know the girl was being hurt. For those of you are interested in the sexual aspects. This was undoubtedly much better than the first book I read by this author. There will definitely be a lot of buzz about this one and there should be. This was one thrilling ride with the journey taking you completely off the cliff. Huge thanks to Bookouture for approving my request and to Net Galley for providing the free e-galley in exchange for an honest review. I strongly in all sincerity recommend this book!
