About the Author

I was a Russian spy at the ripe age of thirteen, given my uncanny ability to tell if someone was lying ( I also read fortunes on the weekends). By sixteen I had become too much of a handful for the Lethal Intelligence Ensemble (L.I.E.). I was quickly exiled to the south of France where I worked with wayward elephants in the Circus of Roaming Animals and People (C.R.A.P.). I was able to make ends meet by selling my organs on the black market for pocket change and beer money. At the age of twenty three I decided to expand my horizons and become a blackjack dealer in Ireland. I loved the family atmosphere at Barney's Underground Liquor Lounge (B.U.L.L.). People couldn't resist the allure of Liquor up front and poker in the rear. Eventually I became tired of the rear and headed off to the United States to try my hand at tall tales. That is what brings us here today. If you have a moment I'd like to tell you a story.

FiveStars What appears to start off as rather a dark novel almost surreptitiously draws the reader into an almost voyeuristic awareness of what is happening. As the depth of feelings of both girls unfolds the reader almost feels like shouting to them to make them aware of each other but due to their own insecurities you can only continue to watch and wait. It's almost a documentary recital, that leaves you feeling as if, by reading on you, are intruding into their personal feelings, but in such a way that it is impossible to look away and not continue to follow their story. Slowly as the truth unfolds this novel takes on yet another facet, one demonstrating the true meaning of, love, friendship and trust and this begins to lighten up the entire novel. A truly memorable tale, written in an imaginative and original way. A really great read. I was given this in return for an honest review by Inked Rainbow Reads. ~Chris

Rating 3.5 I picked up The Good Girls based solely on the fact that it's a F/F romance. The world needs more F/F romance books... lots more! So, while I do enjoy Teresa Mummert's books, I was more interested in this particular book because of what it was about rather than who wrote it. While I did enjoy this book, I took off a star because the ending felt a little too typical to me. The other half a star was because the characters didn't really have the depth that I really enjoy in my books. Even though I'm only rating this 3.5 stars, I still really liked it and definitely recommend it. You can read all of my reviews on my blog, KDH Reviews.
