I highly recommend reading this book. I couldn’t put it down. It wasn’t at all what I expected but in the world we live in today, this book was so up lifting. I laughed, cried and it just pulls at all your emotions. This is my third book by this author and I’ve loved every single one. Can’t wait to read more from this author.

What a great book

I have seen this author's books for years and I am ashamed to say this was my first chance to fall in love with her and her style. So many times throughout this story goosebumps rose on my arms. It wasn't due to the sex or romance it was the snippet of articles at the beginning of each paragraph which told of the actions of the Good Samaritan and the actions of people who picked up his acts of kindness and started paying it forward. This book not only follows a man desperate to cleanse himself of the angst and sorrow or his own experience but not looking for reciprocity of any kind. His kindness towards one woman in particular Pauline ends up a major person in his life and it isn't his girl. On his journey he meets a priest. . . . and while it's the great lead off to a joke the jokes on him. I can't tell you the feels or emotion in this story which brings to the attention the plight of the low to no income or someone who had the rug snatched out. Too many people are one pay check from being homeless which is what makes this story so real. The characters are amazing and the story warms the heart and yeah even the tears that fell were because of the intensity of the read. Now there is so much that can be said about this read. Needless to say I will be looking more closely and opening my wallet to enjoy more of this authors work.

I just fall in love harder with Ms. Boldt every time I read her stories! The Good Samaritan is the perfect story! It made me smile, it made me cry and it made me swoon! All the ingredients needed for a perfect romance. But this is more than a romance. It's a story about redemption and forgiveness. I felt for Faith, I was full of sorrow about how she felt about her secret. How because of a hurtful past, it made her feel less than. Made her feel that she will lose herself and will never be happy. Oh Jude. I wanted to wrap him in a warm blanket and hug him tight. He is searching for a way to redeem himself from his secret. But their is nothing to redeem. He is a true hero in every sense of the word. I applauded Faith's acceptance of Jude. She never saw anything other than what made him worthy of her love and faith. I also applaud Ms. Boldt for making her characters flawed. Also for the honesty of making Faith and Jude fix themselves before trying to find their forever together. The secondary characters are phenomenal! I loved how they came into the picture at just the right time. And how their presence made their mark in Faith and Jude's lives. I cannot tell you enough, dear readers, how much I loved this story! Do yourself a favor and get this book. Read it slow and enjoy it! It will make you stop and think of things you thought you knew just a bit differently!

Prepare to be completely blown away! The Good Samaritan is an exemplary work of literature, a prolific combination of redemption and second chances. This touching and soulful novel unites ominous, unfortunate circumstances with the powerful inflection of unwavering love and salvation. This book was so unbelievably good, I cannot put into words exactly how I feel. The storyline flowed beautifully with the development of the characters’ relationship. The emotions – both raw, gut-wrenching agony and the giddy feelings of a budding love – completely overflow from the story, making the reader feel thoroughly engaged and fascinated. This book consumed me! From beginning to end, I was transfixed and wholly absorbed into the hidden truths and shocking revelations that transpired throughout. The complex, yet effortless, connection between Faith and Jude was simply remarkable. Both characters faced challenges of their own. But when together, their issues seemed to pale in comparison to their undeniable and magnetic chemistry that wielded the power to overcome any obstacles they face. Their connection was an instantaneous jolt of compassion and intrigue that radiates directly from the pages and into your heart and soul. The Good Samaritan is a once-in-a-lifetime book. This compelling and intensely profound book will transcend any assumptions of what true sacrifice and penance really means. A beautifully tragic and excruciatingly wonderful romance that will leave you utterly breathless. 5+ Stars!

The Good Samaritan is a powerfully written romance, there is so many great characters in this book, it a treat for the senses. It also highlights real problems so many people suffer from. Jude is great guy, struggling after tragedy he feels guilty about, and tries to atone by living on the streets and helping others in need. Nothing seems to help until he meets Faith and Father James who runs the homeless shelter. The only person to pierce his darkness is Faith a reporter who volunteers at the shelter. Faith just sees a man in pain, not a bum who lives on the street. They become friends, Faith the only woman to interest him in five years. One night after work Faith is attacked and nearly raped fortunately Jude stops the rapist and gets Faith to the hospital in time. It makes them both realise what they feel for each other. Alas the road to true love is paved with obstacles. This is a heartwarming and at times heartbreaking read. This book actually blew me away, and I admit tears were shed when I got to the end.

"Evil thrives under the cloak of darkness. It’s also where secrets are hidden in the depths. I learned this long before I joined the ranks of the homeless. Darkness, those shadows offering disguise, enable evildoers. Those who prey on the weak and profit from their loss. Darkness also masks our sins. It disguises everything we don’t want visible in the light of day. I’m a prime example of the latter. I’ve become one with the dark obscurity, have melded into the shadows, to join the homeless. I’m here, amidst the ragged, weary, unkempt population. I’m here because this is the only way. This is my mission. To not only look evil in its face and confront it, but to also protect those who cannot protect themselves. To leave only good deeds in my wake. I must atone for my sins". This is such a heartbreakingly beautiful story. It’s about so many people who suffer loss, and then when they’re down there are those really evil people, who come along and steal what little these people have, who steal what they are trying to do to get a life and a home of their own. This is a story about a man who went through such a traumatic experience and knows he must pay his penance, so he gives up everything and lives amongst these people, protecting them, picking them up when they are down and helping them when he can, anonymously. Yet he takes nothing, giving them the food from his mouth, the clothes off his back. He feels he deserves to suffer, it’s his penance. He has become known as The Good Samaritan. He does so many wonderful things, but I’ll leave that for you to read about. It’s just so touching. This is a story about a woman named Faith, who has been through a lot in her life. On top of that she is starting to lose her hearing and will one day go deaf. There is an expensive implant and by working at the newspaper, as a reporter, she gets insurance that will cover some of the cost, but it’s not enough. Faith has had a very hard life and struggles very hard, but she has a really good heart. One day Faith meets The Good Samaritan (I’ll let you find out how) and there’s a shift already in motion. This story is about a man who lost his soul and a woman who brought him back to life. RC Boldt has exceeded herself with this book!! The depth of the characters, the storyline and the overall theme of this story are just so beautifully done. I enjoyed this book immensely and didn’t want it to end. I highly recommend this one. There’s no doubt that it deserves 5 Glorious Stars!!

This is a story you won't forget. It's so different from your typical romance and happily ever after. Jude is homeless and his story grips you from the get-go. Faith is down on her luck but rich in friends. When Faith breaks down in a bad neighborhood, Jude saves her. When she is attacked, Jude saves her. Their story really begins there. Even when Jude is saving Faith, Faith turns around and saves Jude too. I loved this story from beginning to end.

What can I say about The Good Samaritan by RC Boldt, that hasn’t been said already? Quite frankly, nothing. This book blew me away. It’s a refreshing change in the cluttered world of written romance, from the amazing and challenging storyline, to the characters and the writing itself. It all just blended into one brilliant, emotional read, that was also funny with a touch of sass. Just so you are prepared. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry and then you’ll outright swoon. Faith and Jude together? Just simply divine. This is an absolute must read, don’t TBR it, grab it and settle down for the night. You can thank me later!

4.5 Second Chance Stars! The Good Samaritan has been on my tbr/watch list for a while now. This story sounded so intriguing that I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. And when I did, I have to say, this story blew me away. It was so unexpected. So unique. It was a story that gripped me from the very first page and had me devouring each and every word. The Good Samaritan is an unforgettable and unique romance. It’s not your typical love story at all. When I started reading this book, I couldn’t help but fall in love with the characters and their story. I was instantly drawn in. The plot was unlike anything I’ve ever read- A homeless man doing good deeds and saving those in need-I mean how unique is that?? Add in a bright young woman who is completely down on her luck and is just trying to make the best of the cards that life has thrown at her. Faith and Jude were such an unlikely pair, but somehow these two just worked. They were there for one another in the toughest of times and were a shoulder to lean on when needed. Their relationship was slow to develop, but definitely worth the wait. I loved seeing Jude open up and lower his walls. I loved seeing Faith bring Jude back to life and make him see the good that is inside of him; to see the person that he really is. The Good Samaritan is a powerful story with many important messages. If I learned anything from this story it would be to always find the good in people. Understand that there is always more than what meets the eye. That there are so many good people in this crazy world, they just need someone to show them the way and to take a chance on them. To pay it forward when you can and have hope that there will always be a better tomorrow. The Good Samaritan is an emotional story that I know I won’t be forgetting any time soon. It is a story of making choices and dealing with the outcome of those decisions. It is a story of helping others and making amends. A story of accepting help when it’s offered and finding your true self. It is a story of friendship and love. But, most importantly, it is a story of second chances. The Good Samaritan was a terrific read from beginning to end. I hope you’ll take a chance on Jude and Faith’s story and be just as captivated by this story as I am.

When I read the blurb for this story, I immediately knew I needed it now. This is a 2018, 10 star must read. I have never read anything this original in a long time. If I get to shed one tear while reading a book then it deserves all the stars in the sky. It was not tears of sorrow but ones of selfless acts by good people. Jude is homeless by choice. He think that’s all he deserves for what happened in his life that he had no control over. So he’s trying to atone for his guilt by doing good things to the ones in need. Faith has a secret and she needs the next big story and the bonus that comes with it. What she didn’t expect is for Jude to come in the way and make her really see him without him trying. Hands down one of this years best written story. I love originality and this one didn’t lack any. There were some shocking surprises at every turn until the end. I was held captive from the blurb to the very last page read and even then I wanted more. An highly addicting story of the good still lurking in people. The author wanted us to know that. Things are not always what they seem. The most beautiful love story written with passion. This hasn’t happen to me in a long time, wanting to reread a story after I’m done reading it. It will stay with me for a very long time. There was some suspense that kept me on the edge of my seat too. A captivating story about coming together to help each other out in a time of need. These characters latched themselves to my heart, mind, body and soul. I could sit here and write all day on how AMAZING it really is. Bottomline line is if you are only going to be reading one book this year make The Good Samaritan. Standalone told in a dual POV with an HEA. I STRONGLy recommend this story. I will be checking author titles from this author very soon.
