My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!! ***Received a copy of the ebook for an honest review via Netgalley The cover is hot, and it definitely fits in with the rest of the series. This is the 4th book in the series. As soon as I saw this book, I knew I wanted to read it because I loved book 3. This book is for adults only due to the steamy content. I loved reading this book. I hated that it took me so long, but life was interfering with my enjoyment of this book. I wanted to sit down and read it straight through without stopping. I loved how spunky Trixie is and how much she has overcome. Of course, Dakota is the sexy southern cowboy and had my heart from the start. Their journey together was packed with actions and surprises. I love when a book grabs my attention and doesn’t let go. Sara does a fantastic job creating her magical world where you never know what will happen next. I love this world and can’t wait to be immersed in it again! I hope to get book 1 and 2 and read them soon! I highly recommend this series to any paranormal fan because it is an awesome series filled with supernatural creatures!

Sara has out done herself, this novel pulls you into every page you can't help but be the characters. You feel what they feel and want to be there to comfort them or join in when they are happy. Sara Humphrys pulls you into each scene and makes you feel like you are right there standing next to them going through what they are going through. The detail is so right on that the fantasy is real as you read each page and everything around you just disappears. You are Trixie, I see me in her as I feel a lot of women will see them selves in her. Dakota is the same way I know a lot of men who could see themselves in him and women may see there men as him as well. It is riveting. AMAZING. WONDERFUL. DARE I SAY MY FAVORITE IN THE SERIES. If you have not read the series trust me you are missing out. This installment is absolutely astounding.

It has been a while since I have read a story of vampires. Although this is the 4th book in a series and I have not read any of the previous books, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Given that, I would like to go back and read the others in the series. For me, this was such a different take on vampires and the interaction of the paranormal world. There was so much involved and enriched story between Trixie, the badass chick and Dakota, the Texas cowboy. I was so into this book that I read it in one sitting. Couldn't put it down. Highly Recommend! I was gifted a copy of this book by Netgalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca. I was only asked for an honest review. 4.5 Stars!

A cowboy and a punk rock chick? Both vampires? I wasn't exactly sure what to expect because this is my first book in this series. I thought it would be a fun, sexy story about opposites attracting which it was, but it's also a tale of regrets, treachery, betrayal and love. Dakota Shelton is just a good ol' cowboy from Texas and quite out of his element in New York, but the scenery in the form of one tough as nails punk rock chick is quite interesting and Dakota has never been one to back down from a challenge. Trixie LaRoux has the rest of her undead life to mull over the mistakes and regret the choices she made as a human and she would love to do that without the newest member of their coven, Dakota and his cinnamon lollipops in her face or following her around, thank you very much. But Dakota doesn't seem to be getting the message, which is actually a good thing because his persistence soon leads him to a discovery that puts Trixie and everything she holds dear in peril and she'll need his help. THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE VAMPIRE was a new take on the vampire lore for me and I enjoyed it very much. With a snarky, outspoken heroine and a sweet, old-fashioned hero, this is an engaging and action-filled story that comes with a mystery that spans centuries, destinies that have been entwined for decades as well as lots of witty and humorous moments. Trixie and Dakota are the embodiment of opposites attracting but they are also very enjoyable characters and Dakota's siege on Trixie's heart was fun to read. I absolutely loved the mystery in this book and I'll recommend it to anyone who loves a bit of action and mystery with their romance. I hope that future books in the series will explore the otherworldly characters introduced to us in this book. What a fun and interesting novel that can be read on its own or as part of Humphreys’ series. She returns to a world full of vampires and excitement that can capture your heart and your imagination. I enjoyed the way that suspense mingled with romance, heartfelt moments with comical ones. This was all wrapped up in a vibrant, larger than life package that was a blast to read. The main characters were a blast. Not only were they fun on their own, but the contrast between their personalities and their ways of life was so shockingly perfect. The well-developed individuals were easy to connect with while also fitting into the story well. The subtle complexity with which they were crafted really held my attention. Once again Humphreys has created a fun, romantic, and suspenseful novel that I truly enjoyed. Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.

Dakota is a home town cowboy with fangs. Cinnamon lollipop eating, his quiet demeanor only hides his prowess on the battle field. Trixie is the epitome of the goth vampire. Bold, in your face attitude, she dresses like a young punk rocker and has personality to back it up. Little in common, except vampirism, when their world collides sparks fly. Humor, action and a very twisty plot makes The Good, The Bad, and The Vampire and great, sexy, paranormal romance read. I received this ARC copy of The Good, The Bad, and the Vampire from SOURCEBOOKS Casablanca in exchange for a honest review.

A fast-paced, sexy shifter romance... "You are a spitfire of a woman, do you know that? You remind me of a horse that hasn't been broken yet. All skittish and full of wild energy." "Are you for real?" Her jaw fell open. "Did you just compare me to a horse?" THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE VAMPIRE by Sara Humphreys is a fast-paced, sexy shifter romance. It's the fourth book in Sara's Dead in the City series, but don't let that steer you away, because it works well as a standalone, if that is your preference. Fans of the series will enjoy catching up with favorite characters from the previous installments. This is the story of Dakota Helton, the newest sentry for the Presideum, the vampire government, and Trixie LaRoux, the wild child goth chick in the eclectic New York City vampire coven. Both leads were genuine and likeable. They were opposites in many ways and quite accomplished at tap dancing around each other. Dakota was the epitome of a good old cowboy from Texas. He loves his Stetsons and I chuckled over his obsession to lollipops. This is the first time I've read about vampires and lollipops... together. He's a badass sentry - deadly, stealthy, and full of swagger. Trixie seemed to be tough - but that persona was really just part of the facade she's erected around herself to keep others from seeing the real Trixie. As a human, she suffered from addiction. Becoming a vampire freed her from that addiction. But... deep down, she still feels like a loser and she's terrified of becoming addicted again... this time to a hot, sexy male: Dakota. I know when I pick up a book by Sara, that I'm in for a treat. This story is solid from start to finish. Add in Sara's imaginative plot twists and I positively could not put this book down until I'd read the last page. I highly recommend THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE VAMPIRE to anyone who relishes an entertaining shifter romance. My full review is posted at Reading Between The Wines Book Club. The Good, the Bad, and the Vampire by Sara Humphreys is a fun ride in the Paranormal world. I have not read very many paranormal books and this is my first by Sara. I would love to see this book turned into a movie that is how much I enjoyed it. I was so hooked from page one to the last sentence. The characters are very likable, fun, loving, families rough childhoods and lots of secrets. Dakota... I loved this guy, hot with southern charm a Cowboy vampire from Texas...my new book boyfriend. Trixie is a wild punk rocker girl that is beautiful and tough. Will these two opposites of each other make it work? I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a fun exciting story with Supernatural groups and Gargoyales or just a great book. I will be reading more books by Sara Humphreys. I was given an ARC by publisher via NetGalley, for my honest review.

I LOVE THIS BOOK! I love this series but this book was the best. Dakota is a hot, hunky, sweet cowboy (now sentinel) vampire. Score! Trixie is a city vampire through and through. She is tough on the outside and squishy on the inside. When fate declares them bloodmates things get interesting. They both have pasts to overcome and Dakota has to convince Trixie to lower the walls she has built around her heart. I love that there are more than just vampires and werewolves in this book.
