Since I was born in Los Angeles, I have a place in my heart for the Grand Central Market, but even better than the nostalgia for me, is the amazing mix of flavors and tastes from all around the world, all in one place. I loved walking through the market and enjoying the tantalizing mix of smells and tastes. I was delighted to find recipes for lots of our family favorites, like pan dulce and falafel, among many others. We are enjoying recreating these special recipes in our home, since we now live many miles from L.A. I consider this book, with its fantastic recipes and stunning photos, a treasure I will enjoy for my whole life!
