The Green Smoothie Recipe Book is split into two parts (much like The Quick and Easy Paleo Cookbook by Telamon Press), the first part of the book filling you with information that they believe you need to know while the second part is focused on the recipes. The book is a good coffee table book or a nice read over when having a cup of tea/coffee or need a new drink for a meal or snack. It has moments where it’s too draggy and moments where it is not informative enough.

If you are looking for a way to not only reduce calories but have smoothies that are packed with Nutrients well here it is. This book delivers all the information needed to make healthy and quick smoothies. With recipes that are easy and tasty it also tells how the nutrition can improve your body. Health is the key to this book. Often nutrients in our food go straight through our bodies sadly never getting used. This book will teach you how to change that. This book is the key to smoothie success.

I need more greens in my diet and this looked like a good book to get me started. I love the variety of recipes that incorporate so many different kinds of greens (the usual kale and spinach, plus broccoli, sprouts, bibb and romaine lettuces and so on) There are also some great recipes that I will try for my kids to sneak more healthy stuff into their diets.

This resource is great for those who want to “go green” in their diet but don’t have much time. I couldn’t wait to finish looking through this book and to go to my kitchen to make a smoothie from it. It has lots of smoothie recipes: for beginners, for healthy skin and hair, for healthier digestion, for detoxing, and others. Recipes are simple (well, there is not much complication in making a smoothie anyway) and healthy. I am glad I came across this book and bought it.

I tried juicing a while ago, but I couldn't get past the taste of veggies like kale, beets, etc.  I enjoyed this book, though, since the recipes contain enough fruit to mask the veggie flavors.  I just wish the recipes had better nutrition information.  If you're looking to drink smoothies regularly, I would suggest “The Smoothie Recipe Book for Beginners” instead, as there is more detailed information and a better variety of recipes.

The Green Smoothie Recipe Book, is all smoothie recipes, as I'm sure you guessed, so each chapter instead of being devoted to types of meals, like lunch or breakfast, they each have a different health goal, like skin/hair health, or digestive health, or weight loss. It takes into account different tastes too, since a lot of the recipes have tips on how to make them taste a little differently, without loosing the health benefits. Though some of the smoothies are low-sugar and don't include fruit, or are low-calorie or they include a lot of vitamin D.

Thanks to The Green Smoothie Recipe Book by Mendocino Press, I am no longer afraid of Green Smoothies. Prior to reading this book, I was a little taken aback by the thought of blending vegetables into a drink. It’s a perfect guide for the beginner and walks you thought everything from what to buy, picking out the best fruits and vegetables and how to prepare them. Whether you enjoy the taste of blended vegetables or fruit, or a little of both, you’re going to find a lot here to enjoy. This is a fantastic way to get started on enjoying smoothies and reaping the many health benefits they provide.

Add leafy green vegetables to a fruit smoothie, and you have a green smoothie! The fruits (usually) mask the taste of the greens. I follow their blending instructions, and every recipe I’ve tried has been delicious. Thus far, the ones with the cocoa powder have been my favorite. I make them for breakfast, so I prepare the ingredients the night before for easy fixing in the morning. This is a great book for a beginner—clear and concise, but thorough.

The book reminds us of all the health benefits of eating more fruits and veggies, and then gives simple recipes to incorporate more fruits and veggies into our daily diet. The idea of losing weight is a big motivator. Great smoothies for beginners and kids alike, as well as low-fat and low-sugar options.

This book is chock full of delicious and healthy smoothie recipes that will boost any lifestyle and satisfy any craving. It also contains some very useful pieces of general produce information, such as the do-it-yourself fruit and vegetable wash recipe (Chapter 2) and the “Guide to Seasonal Shopping” in the appendix.

Some people just don't have the time to eat 3 square meals a day, yet alone eat fruits and vegetables at every meal. This book is great for those who want to stay healthy but simply don't have the time to go on a full dieting plan. The best part about this book is you don't need to follow any recipe exactly how it's listed as long as you're using healthy ingredients.

By Jetta the green smoothie recipe book offers a lot of different flavors and tastes from spicy to sweet. Press also includes information about what green smoothies are, why there for you, and what are in them, which really is anything that is green and leafy or bright and sweet like fruits.

I ‘ve wanted to try “green” smoothies for some time. I’ve been hesitant because I don’t like many vegetables. This is a great way for non-veggie lovers to get their daily greens without having to eat them. I never thought of making a smoothie with Kombucha either and I can’t wait to try that out! Before this book, I was looking into juicing instead of blending. I’m now convinced that smoothies are the better way to go.
