School Library Journal - School Library Journal
Gr 7 Up That pollution is having an effect on our atmosphere has been a concern of scientists for several years. This summary of the causes of a build-up of carbon dioxide and other gases that could radically alter the climate of the Earth is current and comprehensive. Politics and economics are discussed at length. The influence of normal climatic differences, including ice ages, is included. This presentation provides a thorough overview and introduction to a complex and difficult problem. Although the text is generally clear and well-written, some of the Fahrenheit-Celsius conversions are incorrect and the diagrams confusing and misleading.
