Overview

Unicorn shifter Keke LaFleur is known around Nocturne Falls as the 'love 'em and leave 'em' gal. She's been running from relationships since her childhood sweetheart accidentally witnessed her transformation. Just when she believes her hooves are planted in the present, her past rides in on a sleek vintage Bronco--of a vehicular kind--pulling an oversize Mobile Vet trailer behind it.

Traveling veterinarian Rochester "Rock" Winthorpe has spent over a decade in search of his first love. He hopes to finally straighten out the misunderstanding that had sent Keke off in a huff. Now that he's found her, he's hell-bent on chasing her until he gets an "I do"--before she manages to gallop away with his heart again.

A fast-paced, rollicking-good short story that is unfortunately deeply marred by repeated glaring vocabulary & punctuation errors. When uneducated and/or lazy writing interferes with the flow of a story, it's a real shame. A good editor could have turned this into a 5-star read in an hour.

I loved this book. It sucked me right in. My favorite parts were that there were some really laugh out loud moments and I really loved Keke's talking owl, Professor Hyde. He is a unique character, along with Stasia, who is very odd but lovable. I hope we get a book with Professor Hyde finding true love lol.

I really enjoyed another of Jax Cassidy's stories set in the Nocturne Falls Universe. It was also nice checking in on Luna and Ace from the earlier story. Nocturne Falls is a magical place in more ways than one. These are sweet romances and a great afternoon reads. Please keep them coming!
