Overview

The Healing Circle, a picture book for ages 2 to 8, encourages faith in God for wholeness and healing, for both children and the adults who read to them. Years ago, the author, Mountainbird, was inspired by a dedicated pastor and weekly prayer meeting in Amherst, Massachusetts to write the original story poem. God's abundant promises unfold through words and images of people and angels of diverse ages, races, and cultures. Hopefully, your joyful response will echo one reader's, "I want to be in that Healing Circle!" With delightful illustrations, the artist, Gina Hagen, enlivens The Healing Circle's portrayal of heaven's timeless collaboration with the earth. Gina's talent for communicating love through her drawings distinguishes her art held in numerous private collections throughout the United States, Europe, South Africa and Japan. While Mountainbird has written numerous educational and news articles, poems and short stories, The Healing Circle is her first fiction book for children. Her previous book for adults and young adults, Lookin' Up in Down Times, also inspires hope and healing through true adventures from around the globe.
