About the Author
Janice M. Hughes is an avid ornithologist and a professor of biology at Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Canada. She is the author of numerous publications on birds and other subjects, including the Royal Ontario Museum Guide to Birds of Ontario, Cranes: A Natural History of a Bird in Crisis, and Migration of Birds: Seasons on the Wing.
