We camp all through the summer and I get so tired of eating hot dogs and hamburgers. Our kitchen in our camper is not that large and I wanted to use my slow cooker to offer my family healthy, delicious meals they could eat anytime of the day. When we camp, everyone tends to eat at different times and I do not want to be stuck making several meals a day....instead I use my slow cooker and meals are ALWAYS available. The Healthy Slow Cooker Cookbook offers AMAZING healthy recipes that taste good and fill us up. For example, I made the Apple Cinnamon Steel-cut Oatmeal the night before we were heading out for a hike the next morning. I made it before I went to bed and 8 hours later our camper smelled amazing....but most importantly...we woke up to a healthy breakfast that filled us up. I didn't have to drag out pots and pans and make breakfast in a limited space. I used one slow cooker! Thats it!. On our last trip I made 7 of the recipes in this book and they were all so delicious. If you have limited space and limited time and you want to use your slow cooker to make healthy meals....this is your book! Some of the recipes take 8hrs and some take 2hrs. You are sure to find a recipe (or 7) that your family will love. I love the every single one! I received this book in exchange for my unbiased review, all opinions are my own.

I've always sworn by my crock pot. I can't rave enough, about how awesome they are. Being able to put something in it, in the morning, rushing off to work, and knowing dinner will be done, by the time I get home. Im used to cooking chili, roasts, and chicken.. Now, I can have a bowl full of flavorful deliciousness, and be content knowing that what I am cooking is healthy and nutritious for my family. I was used to forever searching the internet for crock pot ideas, and coming up with them. Now, I have a handy book with a bunch of recipes at my disposal, move over pinterest. The recipes in this book are all very divine, and tasty. I've made a number of them, and have not had any complaints yet! Sample Provided

This book gave me tons of ideas to keep my sanity! I've fed my family with some of the great recipes in here. They're all easy to prepare, quick to throw together, and taste wonderfully! I broke my crockpot cooking in it for 3 weeks straight with this book! I'll still make some of these recipes in my oven now! My kids love helping with the cooking too, and these recipes are easy for them to follow and pick out which ones they want to try next.

Great book! I've only made minimal meals and slow cooker, until I started this book. Not only does it give great recipes for everyday meals. It also gives great tips on flavors as well. My favorite recipe is the Korean short ribs. I love this book and would recommend it to anyone!

This book covers one of my favorite styles of cooking. The Healthy Slow Cooker not only provides quick one pot meals but also utilizes healthy and easy to find ingredients to make tasty dishes. This is a wonderful alternative to frozen, canned and processes options that come with this kind of cooking. No need to sacrifice a balanced meal because of time restraints. This cookbook is the perfect gift for anyone who cooks.

I live with my crockpot running. It makes my life easy. With 5 kids, I have no time to stand in the kitchen and trip over kids. So throwing things in at night when the kids are sleeping, or early in the morning before they get up, makes my life simpler. This book gave me a ton of new ideas to throw together for the family. Healthy and slow cooking, those two words are like the saving grace of busy families. I did not know all the things you could make in a slow cooker, and avoiding all the processed and artificial ingredients can sometimes be a challenge. This cookbook is easy to follow and will have you cooking meals for your families with little effort!!

So far this is by far my favorite slow cooker cookbook. It has so many easy to follow recipes that my family has been enjoying. Since our family is just about always on the go. We never seem to have the time to make a decent meal without our crockpot. The crockpot has truly been a lifesaver for us. This book is great for on the go people that love to eat their meals at home. I use this book several times a week so that our family has delicious meals prepared when we get home from our long day at work and day care. I am a slower cooker fanatic! Who wouldn't love delicious meals without slaving over a stove all day?! And the fact that these are all healthy puts the icing on the cake. My family and I have been trying to make better choices when it comes to food so this book came in the nick of time. There are many options to chose from including deserts so I couldn't be happier.

Slow cookers can be a great, easy way to prepare meals. The Healthy Slow Cooker Cookbook goes over the several benefits of using a slow cooker, both of convenience and health. It also provides a helpful guide to produce that is in season during which months. Now, this is called a healthy cookbook and there are many healthy recipes included in this book. I would just like to point out, though, that depending on your dietary views, there are a few you may not consider so healthy. I was a little surprised to see a few recipes that call for all-purpose flour, which though it makes tasty foods, is not widely considered a "healthy" food. But there are a lot of good recipes in here. No matter what your dietary lifestyle is, there is sure to be some recipes that will work with it. I received this book for free to provide my honest opinion.

We tried four recipes out of this one.  I like the pre area where it tell you that your leaving more of your nutrients in the food this way and it seems to help people with health concerns like diabetes, kidney disease, Alzheimer's and more.  It teaches you the basics and walks you through your meals.  It breaks the fruit and veggies into seasons and it is very helpful. It helps you learn when to go Organic and when it is safe to save.   My wife's favorite is Breakfast Quiche and Thai Sweet and Sour Soup.  Mine is Italian Wedding Soup and Sweet Potato Pudding.  We are going to try at least a few more but we have loved each one so far!  Life can be simplier and healthier.   Overall we all love the book and recipes.

I am a huge fan of my crockpot. I love to throw some food inside , close the lid and forget about it * not literally* . Crock pots are so convenient and I love that at anytime of the day if myself or a guest is hungry the meal is there and warm. This book offers 150 recipes. Meals...soups...even desserts!! I must say though , some of these recipes are not too healthy. All the sodium . Those wouldn't be ideal for someone with blood pressure issues. Their are some yummy meals in here though. I have made a few of the soups and they turned out delicious. I received this ebook in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.

Love love loved this book! Great recipes for a person on a diet that's always looking for new recipes to try! It has a lot of yummy recipes and is great for on the go people trying to eat healthy that don't have a lot of time or too tired after work to cook just throw everything in and wahlah! Slow cooker recipes always almost turn out great! I defiantly recommend this book to someone  who's on the go and trying to be a healthy eater!

This cookbook is perfect for the family with the busy lifestyle! It has 150 recipes that can easily be done throughout the day, and in a healthy manner too! My family fell in love with every dish I made. I can't wait to make more! I'm so excited to find a book that makes it so easy to use my favorite kitchen appliance to make such delicious things!

 It is perfect for my busy family. It is so easy to read worth it, I would buy it again and again!  I am always looking for crock pot recipes and different ones because I can only have so much stew!  I am also Gluten free so it wasn't too tough converting everything into GF versions of the foods, also, they give you a list segmented by season of what fruits and vegetables are in season. That way you can tailor your meals to eating seasonally so you get the freshest, full of flavor foods. There are 11 chapters in the book. The first chapter goes over the health benefits of eating fresh and in season fruits and vegetable. The rest of the chapters are broken up into different categories for recipes. There are chapters for breakfast, soups, appetizers, pasta, vegan, fish and seafood, pork and poultry, beef and lamb, sweets, and spreads. You can pretty much make anything in the crockpot. All the recipes are fairly simple to follow. There are no recipes that require you to stir or add ingredients throughout the process. Although these recipes are not the healthiest they are delicious and you can always change the recipes to suit your needs. What  I found it that this books opens the way to new ideas and dusting off your crockpot to get cooking!  I was able to read this for an unbiased review.  There are 150 recipes for your crockpot. These recipes all include whole food ingredients. The book includes recipes for soups, breads, main dishes and deserts.

I was happy to get this book to kickstart my crockpot cooking again. Typically, I have just used my slow cooker for pot roasts and soups, but now I find I can use it for fresh yogurt and breakfast dishes. If you are like me and need to simplify your life, this book can help cut both your meal preparation time and your food budget by eating more at home meals instead of eating out just to save time.

I haven't used my slow cooker before now I'm really amped up. I starved and shivered my way through winter, wanting something warm but having nothing but ramen to satisfy me. As a woman who wants to have a family, I need to get some recipes going so I can provide without it being too costly. A lot of these sound delicious and I'm already drooling. This is a definite good buy, gives you lots of ideas... be wary some of them have a lot of sodium but just alternate some things.

I completely love this book. I love my slow cookers. I use mine as much as possible and this book helps me make something different all the time. It is for any type of eater as well. Even if you don't eat meat thus book is still for you. It's a great read. Who doesn't love to put it in a crock pot and forget it and come home to awesome food. Seriously this book is a must read for busy families.

I love using my slow cooker but one complaint is many recipes I find use canned foods and soups for the ingredients. My goal is to save time not sacrifice my health with high sodium ingredients and processed foods. The Healthy Crockpot is full of recipes using all fresh ingredients. They even give you a list of what vegetables and fruits are in season so you can plan your meals to eat what's in season. The recipes are simple and they do not require you do not babysit the crockpot and add ingredients throughout the cooking time. Simply add everything into the pot and walk away until it's time to eat. I received a copy for review purposes. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.

This book is about one of my favorite styles of cooking. Most quick meals are canned or processed but this book provides healthy balanced meals on a short timeframe. I thought the section on in-season fruit helpful and had no idea you could make some of these recipes in a slow cooker and the best part is the easy cleanup.

What a wonderful book of tips on how to use your slow cooker to eat healthier. The book is divided into different tips and different meals, and each recipe even has its own Nutritional Highlight and Nutrition Info. Great recipes.

I really think this book has some yummy sounding recipes and I love that there are not any canned fruits and veggies used only fresh spices,herbs and produce.Although I did find a lot of unhealthy things in here,most of there recipes call for a ton of sodium,some recipes even have over a thousand.many recipes had 39 or more grams of fat,most of the cooker recipes can be altered though so you can cut down on some of the bad stuff.

This book has plenty of wonderful slow cooker recipes that can really benefit a busy sports mom like me. Having a daughter in color guard that goes everywhere the band does. Competitions, football games, and even winter guard these recipes are completely valuable to me. While I wish there was pictures of the dishes they do have plenty of ethnic dishes just like moussaka from Greece. The book features quite a few of Greek and French recipes. The sections break into even vegan and vegetarian categories. This means there is something for everyone in this book! I am looking forward to spending some time with my slow cooker and using some of these delicious recipes.

If you have a busy family and dinner is not always easy for you to plan I recommend this book. It has a lot of easy and healthy recipes in it. I love my crock pot and this book has given my a bunch of new and exciting recipes.
