Excellent book which really helped to improve my fitness levels. There are some really good tips in here about how to get the best use out of a heart rate monitor and combining that with other subjects like over-training, losing weight etc.

Starts with the basics around why heart rate-based training makes good sense, then offers a basic structure for how to set up a plan. Finally, it includes a lot of profiles - meaning simulated bike rides - for riding a stationary bike. Well-structured for going back and referring to specific items. The profiles are useful for beginners in particular.

I bought this book on the advice of a fellow forum member when I began searching for training information. The book is packed full of all kinds of workouts for varying levels of fitness. Tons of important information about HOW to train your body to do the work you want it to. I highly recommend this book for anyone looking to kick-up their HRM training and bring themselves to the next level.
