Emma must ride alone through a rainstorm to reach the MacClennan keep and fetch the mighty warrior Rogan MacClennan, Heather's intended. Nothing must delay her. Her sister's life depends on it. What Happened to Heather?................................................................... The first half of the book where Rogan and Emma fall in love was lovely.  The second have where they keep going at each other like rabbits was  repetitive and boring.  But the most annoying thing about this book is there was no ending.  Well I suppose there is one but you need to buy the next book to find out---or maybe the one after that  I won't.  A writer who doesn't put an ending to a mystery to force you to by the next one lose my business.  Would not recommend to a friend.

A new series by Donna Fletcher that is sure to become a favorite. The Macinnes sister's trilogy introduces us to the 3 Macinnes sisters...Heather, Patience, and Emma.   Ambushed on the way to meet Heather's betrothed the sister find themselves torn apart.  Heather taken captive, Patience off to save her,  and Emma on her way for help.  When she arrives at the the MacClennan keep to find no one is willing to leave immediately to help  her rescue her sister.  In fact Rogan, Heather's betrothed, has her sent to a room and her clothes and shoes taken away to keep the strong willed female in check. Emma has never seen a more beautiful man.  Or a more obstinate one either.  She will not give up until Heather is safe and Rogan is not willingly to leave immediately or to accept her help. So she sneaks out in search of Heather with Rogan hot on her heels.  Once he catches up with her she finds herself drawn to him more and more, but he is Heather's man.  They are perfect for one another.  How could he ever fall for someone a plain as her. Rogan has never been so frustrated or as intrigued with a female as he is with Emma.  She is plan in looks and strong willed.  Not  exactly what he wants in a wife.  But he finds himself falling for her in spite of his own warnings.   Fate sees fit to draw these two together, but how will Heather react once they find her. A great start to a powerful trilogy about 3 sisters  who are totally committed to one another.

The Highlander's Stolen Heart by Donna Fletcher The Macinnes Sisters Trilogy Book One Emma Macinnes is the youngest, most knowledgable, and plainest sister. She has accepted that she'll never know the love of a man or have her own family. She's content helping her clan with her knowledge of plants and the land—until she gets to know her sister Heather's intended. Rogan MacClennan gave up marrying for love like his parents did and is resigned to do his duty. When his intended is kidnapped, he can't get her younger sister to stay out of the search. Rogan is a man used to giving orders and the stubborn girl refuses to obey him. He's glad she's not the one he's marrying—or is he? What a great story. As Rogan gets to know Emma, he sees more in her than he first noticed. Too late as he refused to marry 'the plain sister' and the contract is for the oldest, prettiest sister. Rogan and Emma's story is told in this book but the search for Heather continues in the next book; Highlander's Rebellious Love and Heather's story is book three; Highlander: The Dark Dragon. **Sexual content

Without a doubt, this book is one of the most poorly edited e-books I have read. Unfortunately, there seem to be more of this ilk than those that are well edited. The contents have a good story line, which you can only find if you are psychic or can guess which words should come next. I would like to read the 3-book series, but don't know if my fruustration level can handle that much abuse.

I have always loved a good Highlander story and this was a great start to this trilogy. Three sisters start out on a journey to meet up with Heather's betrothed. Emma and Patience were traveling with Heather at the request of their father. Along their journey they ran into trouble and had to split up to get the help that was needed. Emma was sent on to get help for her warriors from Rogan who was her sister Heather's betrothed. What she did not expect was to find such a handsome and fearsome warrior. Rogan would stop at nothing to rescue his betrothed and what he most least expected was to find the plain Emma was far more beautiful that he expected. The author did a great job with this story and gave us the danger....suspense....history of the times....and of course the sexy romance expected from such a handsome highland warrior. I can't wait to read the next book in the series to see what becomes of Patience and Heather. Highly recommend.

This was a great Highland Romance. Rogan MacClennan is a fierce and mighty Highlander warrior who is betrothed to marry the oldest and prettiest of the Macinnes sisters, Heather. When she is kidnapped he finds himself in the company of her younger and much plainer sister Emma, a sister who at one time had been offered to him as a bride and he had refused. They both find them selves thrown together in a quest to find and rescue Heather. The story really becomes interesting then as Rogan realizes he made a big mistake by refusing Emma, and the chemistry and love between them both really shines. I liked Rogan very much, for a fierce warrior he did have a softer side. Emma was very feisty, loyal and strong, I'd want her on my side, she was great. I enjoyed this first book in the Macinnes Sisters Trilogy very much and can not wait to read Patience's story next, and I hope their is more about the Dark Dragon in the future.

I absolutely could not put this book down. I enjoyed the stubborn characters and the quick wit of the leading female, Emma. The entire time you are cheering for her and blushing at what goes on. Another wonderful read by Donna Fletcher.
