It's unbelievably slow going, but good practice for your brain. This is NOT written for a 7th grade reading level - this was written at Oxford don level. I go through about 3 books a week and have been doing that for decades, but I had to keep re-reading sentences and paragraphs to make sure I got the sense of it correctly. The reward, though, is a really fascinating story and a history that I couldn't put down. Even though it's taken me over a week to finish it I've just purchased the next volume; the first one ends with a cliffhanger!
