I'd been wanting to read this for some time. I first came to Cocteau as an artist seeing an exhibition of his works in Montreal. This book definitely has a cool factor to it with the black cover and the drawings throughout the book. That's it though. It's not a bad read, just not compelling. It has it's strange moments with the characterization of the brother and sister and the dynamic of the world they build as they draw people in. But, not a great book. Read it if you have nothing else to do or if you're going to a cafe and want to look cool.
