This collection by David L. Roberts contains 10 short stories, both nonfiction and fiction. Humorous stories include a translation of cowboy language, a moment of chaos in a small town, a story about a dog barking the cadence to a hymn, and the response of the robot lady in the cell phone. Poignant stories feature memories of the author's mother and father, a lesson about coping with fear, and a lonely man's attempt to gather a family for a photo for a Christmas card. And there are other stories.
