I loved this story by Ginny Baird. What Melissa Carter and Stone Thomas don't know about Homecoming Cove could drive them apart before they even get the chance to see if they have a future together. Melissa's a music composer and Stone has odd jobs, one of which is caretaker to Homecoming Cove. When mysterious happenings cause Melissa unease, who can she run to but to Stone. As they research the house's past, will they find they have more in common than they first thought? Or will what they find endanger their lives and cause Melissa to leave? Check out this great book today and enjoy the feeling of home from The House at Homecoming Cove. I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

The House at Homecoming Cove by Ginny Baird Do you believe that love endures and that patterns repeat throughout the ages until the right people have the perfect love that is meant to be. In this story, the author brings this promise to the reader with the romance of Melissa and Stone. The main characters in the story have had failed relationships and challenges that have brought them to this point and place in time. The author draws in the reader into the story with these unique characters who discover as the plot deepens that they have a historical connection to the house featured in the story. The plot darkens with the historical bent to the story. A tingling, nerve bending, finish keeps the reader on edge to the last pages of the book. I received and ARC for review. I loved the challenges of the book and would highly recommend reading it. It is a perfect book for a book club.

This was an interesting story of how Melissa goes to rent a house on the coast to get a bit of peace. She does not really find it, but does find comfort with Stone Thomas when strange happenings occur at the house. I found myself keeping reading to see what would happen next and to see if they could get to the bottom of it. I received a copy of this book to review.

I loved this story by Ginny Baird! If you like stories by Victoria Holt you will most definitely like this one. Melissa Carter leaves New York City for a quiet place to work and to get a much needed break from the city. She thinks she finds it in a rental that is on the Virginia Eastern Shore. She meets a ruggedly handsome loner who does work around the property who from the very beginning takes it upon himself to be her protector when strange things start happening. Stone Thomas is almost instantly attracted to Melissa and finds himself determined to protect her when strange and dangerous things begin happening around the property. I was given an ARC for an honest review. All conclusions are mine and mine alone.

Great story! Do you believe in ghosts? Maybe not now, but you might by the time you finish this story. Melissa Carter has rented a 100-year-old house at Homecoming Cove in eastern Virginia to work on her music in peace and quiet. Instead, she finds Stone Thomas, the handsome groundskeeper, and some very disturbing events—piano playing with no one there being just one (and the least threatening) of all of them. Melissa and Stone are instantly attracted to each other, but the mysterious, unexplained events surrounding them seem to be trying to tear them apart. Who will win—Melissa, Stone or the ghosts? I was surprised, but very pleased, when I found out the source and purpose of the mysterious happenings. I think you will be too, which is why I would recommend this book to everyone. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author to read and give my honest opinion, which I have done.

I totally loved this story. Ginny Baird is a great contemporary romance writer but I think she makes an exceptional romantic suspense writer. I loved the build up of the story from the start, the suspense along the way and the beautiful ending. Some of the reviews mentioned that there were too much details but I loved the details. I could just picture the old farmhouse in my mind, with the forgotten rose garden and the beautiful surroundings. I love the music too.. somehow I felt that I could just hear the music playing. Really hope that Ginny will continue to write such stories. **** I received an eBook copy from the author for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own.

The House at Homecoming Cove by Ginny Baird had me intrigued right from the start. I loved the cozy sounding title with a catchy cover and when I read the blurb, I just knew I had to read the book. Luckily, Ginny invited me to read and review her book before release and I jumped at the chance! The House at Homecoming Cove is the story of a New York based music composer, Melissa who has rents a century old farmhouse on the Eastern Virginia Shore to get away from her chaotic city life and make some music. However, as soon as she arrives mysterious things start happening around her along with the daja vu feeling she gets when she meets the handsome groundskeeper, Stone Thomas! Amidst the paranormal and very mysterious events, a love also blooms between these two but to get a happily-ever-after, not only do they have to solve their personal issues but also solve the mystery of the house which has its own century old legend. I absolutely adored this book. The haunting music along with the sensual and heart soothing music running from Melissa's fingers had me feeling relaxed as well as wishing to visit the farmhouse with its thrilling history and beautiful location. The author creates a magical effect with her words and I could just visualize the pier with the vast ocean, the rose gardens, the creaky and yet full of character house that had once housed people who are now remembered by legends by the people of the town. With the suspicion of ghosts residing in the house, no one has lived for long here and yet the homely feeling the heroine got not only warmed my own heart but made me feel like I was there, feeling and touching every nook and corner of the house. The plot is well conceived and crisply executed and nowhere did the story lag. The pace is steady and the twists and turns are well planned. I was kept engrossed in the story right till the end and just loved Melissa and Stone. Their own stories are beautifully meshed with the main mystery and the connection is admirably brought out by Ginny. Not only is she able to capture each and every shift in the air in accordance to the mystery but also in the moods of the characters. The romance is intense, heartfelt and sensual and all this is achieved without throwing any sexual scenes in the book. Bravo to the author! I enjoyed reading about the sea stories, had goosebumps from the ghostly events and then fell in love with love watching the protagonists cautiously fall in love. :) Though part of a series, the story is a standalone and it is not required to have read the preceding books here. I loved this book so much that I have bought myself the previous two books and will be sharing my review soon. All in all, The House at Homecoming Cove is a lovely and very interesting paranormal story with a good dose of romance, a great story and an expert execution that kept the suspense alive till the end. Must read and recommended to everyone, I loved the book! 4.5 out of 5 to it! I enjoy Ginny's writing and recommend the author to everyone. I received an ARC from the author and I am very thankful to her. The above review is my honest and unbiased opinion and in no way influenced. Given to me for an honest review. Melissa has writer's block so she is renting the house. She hopes the new location will help her to continue writing music for her different clients. She hasn't met the caretaker of the house, but it sounds like he is in the barn. She's surprised to see a younger man working on a lawnmower. For a moment she thinks she has seen him before. He sees a beautiful blonde packed into a small package. The requested piano is beautiful and surprisingly in tune. Thinking about Stone, she realized she would have remembered him if she had seen him before. He definitely would have stood out in a crowd. When Stone woke from his nightmare, he could hear the piano. When Captain Bill sees Melissa for the first time, he starts to say she's the spitting image of and then doesn't finish his sentence. He tells her the story of the house. A sad story of Fiona and her fiancé. He was a sea captain and he drowned. She died shortly after. Melissa keeps hearing sounds in the house and gates that are difficult. Almost all can be explained by the strong winds, but the people anchored in Homecoming Cove claim they can hear music from the house when nobody is home. What do you believe? Ghosts? Just normal things happening?

The House at Homecoming Cove is an enchanting suspense! When Melissa Carter retreats to a century-old farmhouse in Homecoming Cove, mysterious happenings draw her to Stone Thomas the handsome groundskeeper. As the paranormal events increase, these two discover long lost secrets that refuse to remain buried. A great story with the perfect blend of sweet romance and mild element suspense. Loved the descriptive writing, I felt like I could close my eyes and be right there. Melissa has a block in her musical writing, so she has has decided to rent an old farmhouse on the Virgina shore. She soon meets Stone, who takes care of the grounds. "She was here to compose, not to become involved with some local men." When mysterious things start happening in the house, Stone is there to protect Melissa. They start trying to solve the mystery, they soon feel like they have know each other forever. "May those who come together here, never fall apart." I highly recommend this book for a sweet romance with an element suspense.

This was a very intriguing and suspense filled story. Full of unexplained happenings, a tragic love story, and the hope of finding happiness once again. Melissa is a composer that has dried up. The music has left her. So coming to Homecomi g Cove is a last resort. And as soon as she gets there it is like a well overflowing. She can't stop composing. And as an added bonus, there is Stone, the sexy groundskeeper with an attachment to the house. After she finds out about the tragic love story that goes with the house, things start happening that can't be explained and Stone fears for her life. Stone is at once attracted to Melissa. Seemingly drawn to her by an unforseen force. And he doesn't care. She feels like the one to make him happy. But when things progress to scary status in the house, he must make her see that the only safe place for her is back in New York, away from the house and him. But will she go or fight to stay for them? Can they figure out what really happened all those years ago to Fiona and Lewis and bring them rest or will the spirits wonder looking for peace forever?

Melissa has rented a house on Homecoming Cove to get away from New York. She is overconfident heartbreak and writers block. She is a composer of music for soundtracks but has been in a rut for months. She feels connected with Stone instantly. Stone is the groundskeeper of the property at Homecoming Cove. He returned to the area after running boat charters in the Caribbean. He feels an instant connection to the new renter. They both have déjà vu upon meeting the first day. This connection continues to develop over the next few days. It only grows deeper as strange things keep happening to them. This story has a bit of mystery and lots of love in it. I would recommend it to anyone who likes mystery and sweet love stories. I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Melissa Carter sets out to give herself a much-needed retreat at Homecoming Cove. She’s had a mental block for weeks and figures the solitude will give her the inspiration she needs to continue her work as a musical composer for television. However, she didn’t plan on the ruggedly handsome neighbor who has become quite a distraction. She tries to keep her distance, but when strange things start happening at the house at Homecoming Cove, Melissa and Stone are thrown together as they try to piece together the puzzle. Are the eerie things that are happening just a coincidence? Or is there some truth to the legends about the old place? I really enjoyed this book! I thought the story was well-thought out and executed perfectly. Melissa and Stone were both really likeable characters and they definitely have great chemistry. And the story regarding the old house was just beautiful. It was so entertaining and I just couldn’t wait to find out what was happening. I would definitely recommend this book and am looking forward to reading more by this author!

Melissa Carter needs solitude. A broken romance and the pressure of her work demand it. When she arrives at the century home on Virginia's East Shore she is captivated. Suddenly strange things start happening. Is the house haunted? Melissa is a talented musician who has been badly hurt by a thoughtless man. She needs to pick up the pieces and learn to trust again. I loved her fearless attitude and her intelligence. She's able to deal with the unknown. Her curiosity about the house and the tragic lovers bring her and Stone Thomas, the caretaker, together. He likes Melissa and wants to protect her. What is happening? Why do they feel as if they have met before? Ginny Baird has done a masterful job creating a ghost story that pulled me right in. As Stone and Melissa try and understand what is happening, a ghostly presence makes itself known. The setting added to the atmosphere as do the memorable characters. I needed to know how the past and the future were connected. The surprising twists and turns took my breath away. I loved this romantic and emotional ghost story. This is a powerful story that kept me on the edge of my seat. I'm enjoying these romantic ghost stories.

Note: I was provided a complimentary copy for an honest review. Well, Ginny has done it again and given us another gripping romance with just the right balance of suspense and romance. Melissa is a musician who's in a slump. Her music seems to have dried up. So, in a last effort to revive her career, she heads to the eastern shoreline of Virginia, to an old farmhouse. There, she encounters Stone, who is currently working the grounds until he can get the motivation to pursue his dream of opening a museum. As soon as Stone and Melissa meet, they are drawn to each other - almost as if they have a past. But, that's impossible since they just met. They recognize the pull, but can't explain it. Yet, together, they feel complete - ready to reach for their dreams and make them happen. Unlike the previous two books in this series, the paranormal element begins early in the book. Melissa learns shortly after moving in that the house is considered haunted, but she's convinced that there's a logical explanation to everything - that is until it becomes all too real. Stone has heard the rumors too, but always dismissed them because he's never witnessed anything - until Melissa shows up. What is it about Melissa that's stirred up the ghosts of the past? Are there ghosts or is there an explanation? Is Melissa in danger? The plot develops nicely - giving just enough clues to keep you reading. The romance feels slightly steamier than the previous books in this series, but it still stays within the bounds of a PG rating. The language is clean, without anything offensive And, the end is satisfying with a good sense of closure. My rating - 5 stars.

This book is hauntingly beautiful. I was entranced from the start. I can almost hear the piano music flowing from Melissa's fingers and heart when she composes music for TV shows and movies. Melissa came to the Eastern Shore of Virginia to get away from New York and her ex-boyfriend, Peter, because she wasn't able to complete an assignment. A secluded 50-plus acres of land by Homecoming Cove was the perfect place to rediscover her talents. Melissa meets Stone Thomas, the groundskeeper to the property and Captain Bill, the house's caretaker and Stone's grandfather. The soulful connection between Melissa and Stone is immediate. Strange incidences occur in the house and on the property, such as the sound of someone beautifully or angrily playing a piano with no one at the keys, or a brisk, cold wind that affects their internal temperatures. There is a lot of past history here going back to Stone's great-great-grandmother Mary's brother, Lewis Stone and his fiance, Fiona. Both Melissa and Stone seek answers. As a musician myself, I really connected with this fine work, although you don't need to be one to be pulled into the suspense. I also noted to myself phrases such as Melissa had "touched a chord with" or "she'd also become more in tune with herself." I look forward to reading and discovering the other two romantic ghost stories and other works by this author. [I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.]

Melissa rents a place on the Virginia Eastern Shore to see if she can regain her talent. After the thoughtless comments from an ex, she has been at a loss to compose any music and her livelihood depends on her creativity. The first person she meets is Stone. It seems as if she knows him and he is feeling the same way, but they know they have never met. Once Melissa settles in, strange things start happening. Neither she nor Stone believe it could be anything otherworldly, but things keep happening that can't be explained. They have to solve an old problem so they can move on with their future.

The House at Homecoming Cove is the third installment of the Romantic Ghost Stories series. It is, also, the first book I have read by Ginny Baird. I have to say this will not be my last time I reading anything by her. I thought this book to be so great that I am going to be looking for more by her, as well as, the others of the series. Great, clean and romantic story! 5 plus stars.

Restless, unsettled, and musically blocked, Melissa Carter decides to get away from the city. She rents an old farmhouse on the Virginia shore and has big plans for rest and work. When she meets Stone Thomas, the homes caretaker, she's immediately drawn to him. Stone feels the attraction too! When strange things begin happening around the farm, his need to protect her is intense. The more they learn and discover about the place, the more they wonder if they were meant to be together. This is a wonderfully written story with strong characters and beautiful detail. I highly recommend this one.
