Book Review The Hunger Games Every year, 24 children in the ages of 12 through 18 are forced to fight until death. There is no backing down once you get chosen on the day of the reaping. This book is an action packed series, once you start it you never want to put it down. The author Suzanne Collins describes everything so well you feel like you’re there. Katniss Everdeen has never enjoyed the fact that the Capitol created the Hunger Games. The only person that understands the way she feels is her best friend Gale. Throughout the story Katniss has to go through battles and sacrifices. Once you here the horn blow then the Hunger Games have begun.

Hunger Games was one of the best books I have ever read. I love how it has a lot of action and suspense. I like how it starts off slow and then bam it speeds up. My favorite part though was how descriptive the book was and I think that every book should be that descriptive. Katniss Everdeen is a fearless girl who risks her life every day by leaving the gates of District 12 in the country of Panem. Every year the Capital takes a boy and girl from each district one through twelve ages 12-18. This is a fight to the death on live television. They do this because they want to show that the Capital is strong and can overpower you. On the day of the Reaping when the boy and girl tributes will be chosen for the Games, Katniss’s little sister Prim gets chosen then Katniss volunteers to be in the Games. Over the next few weeks her and her pretend-lover Peeta will fight to the death for a trip home and a reunion with the ones they love. This book is very good and I think everyone should read it. If I had to rate this book I would give it four and a half starts because I personally loved this book.
