The author, Ray Dyson, has done an outstanding job on the research of the story line time frame and the usage of phrases and words used during the time period. I must admit I did look up some slang words to be certain I understood the meaning, however, most words became clear as you continued on with the book. The character descriptions in 'The Ice Cream Blonde' are wonderful, very detailed providing you with a mental image as you read. Thoroughly enjoyed the colorful use of the English language provided by the character ' Harry,' very entertaining! 'The Ice Cream Blonde' provides the reader with a little bit of everything...love and hate...crime and murder... passion and romance...humor and drama!!! Can't go wrong with this one, Ray Dyson wrote a truly entertaining novel. I can't recommend it enough!!!
