One of my biggest pet peeves is the lack of or poor editing. This series has both. Does Olivier have chocolate brown eyes. Blue eyes, or deep green eyes? Brown or blue in the first book, defintely brown in th second , and by the third book they are green? Lots of other typos, too. The third book seems rushed, and the characters don't behave as they had in the previous two. No heat.
First of I will tell you this is the first I have read by Shannon Bell and I have to read all of this series and I am loving them more and more with each one. I'm not a huge fan of para books but these are full of twists and turns and always a new dilemma that must be solved that it makes them very enjoyable reads. It is a fast paced read and really keeps your interest. Dylan and Nico move to Paris because Nico is now the sovereign for Paris which means living in the same city as Oliver. Dylan worries since she knows that Oliver still wants her and also knowing how much Nico hates him. Surprisingly Nico and Oliver are behaving and getting along well and seem to be a really great team. There is a very entertaining part involving the three of them that took me by surprise. Just when she thinks things are getting better more trouble ensues. Dylan is feeling lonely without Antonio, her job and the fact she knows no one to spend time with during the day. Dylan convinces Nico and Oliver to let her have Jen come and visit her while in she goes to Belgium to find out more about being a sensitive. While there she runs into trouble and after that is solved and spending a few days there she decides to bring Jen to Paris. But of course not even that can't go the way she plans because of a trouble making vampire and more life changing things occur which causes her to question how soon she will be turned. I cannot wait until the next one!!! I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
