About the Author

From the time she could talk, Yvette Ford wanted to be two things: a mother and a nurse. She successfully accomplished both and found there were challenges being a single parent while working long hours as a nurse. Yvette developed a career plan that not only connected her with her passion but offered her the opportunity to spend more time at home with her son. Yvette has over twenty years in the nursing industry. She has experience in bedside care, nurse management, and compliance oversight.
