Andra Martineau is no ordinary young woman. She's a Klêidouchos Propylaia (K-Pro for short), which means she has the unique ability to help certain people get exactly what they want. And Andra is good at her job--her clients have gone on to become a veritable who's who of the rich-and-famous.
David Styles is an up-and-coming actor with everything going for him: looks, talent, and countless beautiful women vying for his attention. But when Andra turns up in his bed demanding to know what he wants, his perfect world starts to spiral out of control. And it's not just his reputation is on the line--what David doesn't know can certainly harm him, in ways he couldn't possibly begin to imagine.
With the help of David's incorrigible costar, Andra begins to realize not only her own true nature, but David's hidden identity as well. Andra is forced to battle not only her attraction to David (and she never gets involved with clients), but the being within him that wants to take away everything she holds dear.
As David continues to lose himself to the strengthening form within him, Andra navigates the jealousies of the film's director and David's would-be paramour in an effort to save him.
She can make others' wishes come true . . . But can she grant her own?
Funny, readable, and populated with a host of entertaining personalities, The K-Pro is a fast-paced contemporary fantasy with a paranormal twist.

Andra Martineau is good at her job. Being a K-Pro isn't always the easiest thing, but she loves being able to help people get exactly what they want with her unusual talents. She's called to David Styles, an up-and-coming actor, to help him, but when she arrives, she discovers he's on his way to having everything he wants. She can't understand why she's been called to help him, and it gnaws at her. Though Andra and David clash, she can't bring herself to leave. It's not only the mystery of why she was called, either. There's something about David that pulls her to him. As she's tangled farther into this mystery, Andra must not only try to find what David wants, but what she wants too. A superbly written contemporary fantasy with an ancient romance. I was immediately hooked by the original idea of a K-Pro. I wondered if it wouldn't be a curse in itself, but the story twisted in a direction I didn't expect, and I was captivated by the building mystery. Andra and David are wonderfully contrasted as the main characters. Andra is easy-going and happy with her calling in life. David is uptight, strict, and not so happy even though he's following his dream of being an actor. They're surrounded by an entertaining cast of characters that made me laugh on several occasions. The mythology behind the modern plot builds slowly. The reader is given little peeks to whet your appetite. M Pepper Langlinais makes it seem effortless as the layers unravel. It happens smoothly as if the plot is seamless. It adds to the subtle surreal atmosphere and unique character voices.
