When Little One, a young girl living in the village of Taotonga, learns that her parents never received the vision of her true name, she is distressed. Her mother tries to assure her that the vision will come someday, but Little One grows impatient as time passes and no vision comes. At last she decides to search for the mysterious Keeper of Names and ask to be given her true name. However, the Keeper of Names is elusive and unexpected challenges are encountered on the mountain where the Keeper is said to reside.
Forced to spend the winter on the mountain, Little One discovers the depth of her inner strength as she seeks to know her true name and her destiny.
