[Siren Classic: Erotic Paranormal Romance, shape-shifters, spanking, food play, HEA] She is a vet, just a vet. No one would ever mean her harm. Or so Christine Shaw thought. Until one fateful night when someone-no, something-tried to grab her. Having her bacon saved by sexy-as-sin man candy definitely doesn't hurt. But really, who would want her? Hardened, sometimes harsh Tryggr Jackson learned through brutal lessons that life isn't fair. But on rare occasions it is very giving and generous. Finding his bond-mate was as much a shock to him as anyone else he knew. But can the tiny bit of woman handle all that is pent up within him? Chrissy sees there is more to her man than he knows. She must prove to him that he is what is needed to save a throne and to protect all he's ever known. ** A Siren Erotic Romance

This book definitely had good potential, unfortunately that's all that can be said for it. I had quite a few issues with this book. One of the first to grab my attention was the writing style. Unfortunately every sentence where the hero and heroine speak to each other has at LEAST 3 endearments. How many times can you call someone darling, darling mine, sweetie, honey, and my love in one paragraph I mean really. Then the heroine totally forgets about everything she worked for and drops everything with no problem. I have a hard time believing that someone who worked endlessly would give up on their dreams so easily. She was left a house by her family which she took a loan out on in order to start a practice but then she just up and abandons both. Really? Then the assistant who is being abused by her boyfriend is completely forgotten, she's not even mentioned after the first two chapters when she was supposed to be her best friend. They decide they're in love after the first ten min with no struggle, conflict, or thought. It was just abrupt, it did have any real emotion. There were no issues. Then instead of pursuing the crazy vampire angle the whole book is goo goo eyes and confessions of love and sex. I don't always mind that but it was just poorly done, I had to force myself to read this book all the way through just so I didn't feel like I didn't waste my money. The only problem? It didn't work. I still feel ripped off. Over all I think this book was a waste of not only my time but the authors as well.
This was a different take on shifters and I enjoyed it.
this is a very good series. I hated for it to end.
