About the Author

A self-described nerd and lover of science, Linda Rae spent many years as a published technical writer specializing in 3D graphics workstations, software and 3D animation (her movie credits include SHREK and SHREK 2). An interest in genealogy led to years of research on the Regency era and a desire to write fiction based in that time.
A fan of action-adventure movies, she can frequently be found at the local cinema. Although she no longer has any tropical fish, she does follow the San Jose Sharks. She makes her home in Cody, Wyoming. Learn more about her books at https://www.lindaraesande.com

Could have been a good book if it wasn't for the varied characters and their side stories AND THEIR endless mind chatter too. I tried skimming through but even that doesn't hold your interest for too long. Long drawn to the point of being boring.

The viscount is making wonders happen and just keep offering more and more. Keeps out on the edge.

I didn't like that there are about 8 different characters whose thoughts are jumbled and mixex with others. It was sometimes hard to determine who was thinking what and which character was doing what. The story would have been much better if thoughts and ideas were left to the two main characters or there if there had been a seperation in thoughts. I also found it annoying that George was made to seem like he might not be all there in the head.

I loved this story. Linda Rae Sande did an incredable job creating and discribing each character. Each had a personality that was portrayed consistantly through out the book. The authoress penned more than 30 pages explaining, in great detail, how the Viscount made love to the Aristocrates daughter, without taking her virtue. I'm not certain the number of males who read romance novels, but any man could learn a great deal from reading this novel. In the beginning I didn't much care for the main mistress, due to the fact that she was a mistress. By the end, I loved the character that she was. Linda Rae kept the reader in suspence as to whom Elizabeth would marry. One hoped that it would be the Viscount, but due to varing circumstances I kept wondering if that would change. There were several mysteries within the story. A few typos, but certainly not enough to interrupt the magnitude of the story.

I really enjoyed the characters George and Elizabeth. Their relationship is fun and intense. I love the little details added about the secondary characters of Josephine and Elizabeth's parents. The beginning was a little slow for me. But once I got into it I was hooked. I stayed up much too late so I could finish it! I loved the switcheroo on the dance floor. Very Fun. I look forward to Charlotte's story. There are a few typos throughout that interrupted the flow here and there, but I really enjoyed it.
