Someone doesn't like the fact that Bella is beginning to achieve success as a bull rider and is harassing her, but who? Michael Knight has been pressed into helping out undercover at the rodeo by his brother who is concerned about stock saboteurs, but when Michael rescues Bella after her pickup breaks down, he knows he must discover who is targeting her also. A sweet suspense romance with a nice epilogue. Can be read as a standalone but when read directly after book 1, there is a glaring continuity issue.

The Knight and the Damsel is the second book in a 3 book series by Lisa Mondello, Margaret Daley, and Lenora Worth. I had not read Book 1 prior to reading The Knight and the Damsel and had no problem following the story line. There is a thread that continues through the series, though, and I look forward to completing the series to find out who the culprit is. I am a fan of professional bull riding, so I really enjoyed this story line. A female bull rider is rare in the sport, so Bella’s perspective is unique. When someone starts harassing her and sabotaging the rodeo animals, Michael Knight steps in to help solve the mystery. I enjoyed Michael and Bella’s story and am eager to see how the drama and suspense unfold. I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an unbiased review. All thoughts expressed are my own.

The Knight and the Damsel by Margaret Daley Rodeo Knights Series Book Two Bella Rosenthal never thought that having old Betsy, her truck, break down could be a good thing. But when a Knight comes to her rescue, he keeps watch over her longer than needed. Michael Knight has come to help his brother find out who's sabotaging the rodeo stock. When he meets Bella, a damsel in distress, he figures staying close to her can help him find the bad guys. At least that's what he's telling himself is the reason he wants to stay close to her. I just loved this story. Romance blooming amongst suspense. This is a series of three books by three authors. Book one is Her Knight, Her Protector by Lisa Mondello and the story is about Michael's brother Jesse. The third book is called One Knight in Vegas by Lenora Worth and the story is about their youngest brother Sean.

What would cause someone to place so little value on rodeo livestock that they would stoop to poisoning the animals? Why would anyone give a bull an injection that could potentially kill the animal or worse yet, result in the loss of human life? Are the same people behind all of these events? Why would Bella ever get atop a bull that is intent on losing the rider in the first place, much less even think of getting back on after the harrowing ride on Widow Maker? Stories about the rodeo have always been appealing to me. The only thing that would make this story any better is if it was a full-length book. Quite candidly, reading stories about bull riding is about as close as I want to come to those bulls but reading about Bella, Michael, and the other characters was entertaining and riveting. I recommend this to anyone who likes action, romance, and suspense. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author in exchange for my honest review.

Margaret Daley continues to write brilliant romantic suspense filled with hope, lasting love and faith in God. Margaret has teamed up with Lisa Mondela and Lenora Worth on this three-part series. Each story is stand-alone with a common thread….cowboys and rodeos! Definitely a page-turner, and I recommend this as well as any of Margaret Daley’s other books.

The Knight and The Damsel : A Western Romance ( Rodeo Knights book 2 ) By: Margaret Daley The Knight and The Damsel is the second book in the Rodeo Knights series. I have not read the first book , but I did not have any problems following the story or the characters. If you love a good rodeo western with lots of action and some romance , then you will love The Knight and The Damsel. Margaret starts off with action that grabs you and you hold on till the end. Michael is a retired champion bull-rider , but when he gets a call from his brother that he needs help , he takes off to the rodeo. Someone is sabotaging and poisoning the animals at the rodeo. Bella is one of the few female bull-rider that is competing in the rodeo. How do the men like her riding against them? Who is trying to get her thrown out? I was given a copy of this book by the author for my honest review, which I have given.
