The Land of Now and Later
There's a new tree growing in The Land of Loving Yellow. Each acorn on it will cause a certain emotion if it lands on someone. Jethro is standing under The Emotion Tree, which is loaded with those acorns. What would it be like for someone to feel hundreds of emotions all at the same time? Suppose that someone is Jethro!? But only an earthquake could cause that many to fall at once!
The air is beautiful in The Land of The Hoop Tree Forest where hoops of all colors and sizes float out from the trees when someone comes near. They playfully ring your arms and legs and even become rings on your fingers---plus if you have a unicorn in the middle of your forehead, that too!
Nearby is The Land of Strawberry Dawn. The strawberries will have the opportunity to talk when they receive the owingstones. Imagine talking to strawberries! Perfit has a surprise for them.
Not far away is The Land of Firecracker Hail---the most dangerous land in The Lands!

About the Author

The writng career of Larry Good began when he was in the fifth grade, although he didn't know it. One day he was sitting in Miss Pearson's class in the second desk in the second row from the door, writing dull repetitive sentences for a language assignment. Suddenly he became bored and dissatisfied with his efforts. So next he wrote, "The gold was hidden in the back of the stagecoach," inspired by the cowby movies he liked to see on Saturday afternoons in Blackstone. Then he tried to make each new sentence more interesting too.
In the sixth grade, he learned that prepositional phrases can be used as either adjectives or adverbs, and more sentences eventually led him to the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, where he majored in American and English literature.
Teaching grammar for six years, he learned a lot about the parts of speech. Finally, using his grammar book as a lens, he saw The Lands appear on either side of The Mistercald River.
