As a high school freshman I thought "The Lapis Key" was a good read that will teach important lessons to readers of all ages. The book represents a battle between good and evil. D.F.Morrison does a great job of showing the battle between these two forces. While reading this book one will learn to listen to their own instincts. This book is teaching the idea that listening to your instincts will help complete your destiny. "The Lapis Key" also portrays that one must allow destiny to take its own course, and that no outside force can try and change someone elses destiny. The Queen Mother makes sure that Princess Daisy is the only one in the Instar Room during the time of her Archon Selection. Princess Daisy is fulfilling her destiny by choosing Brittney as an Archon. Brittney will help Daisy find Ernie the Great Protector. I can't wait to find out what happens in the sequel of "The Lapis Key!"
