An adventuresque, eschatological Christian fiction novel, The Last One chronicles the lives of two unlikely allies who get caught up in the middle of a sinister demonic plot and the most cataclysmic event in the history of mankind.
As a professor of eschatology, Lewis Stapleton is used to living his life as a witness of his faith in Jesus Christ...that is, until he meets Jason. Jason is a radical atheist who seems thrust into Lewis' life by fate. Jason isn't one of Qarlen's favorite people either. Qarlen is a guardian angle commissioned to guard Jason to his own resent. But human or divine, they are all about to get caught up in the thrilling events culminating in the most cataclysmic event in human history...the last one is a work of Christian fiction that poignantly confronts the issues of self esteem, racial insecurities, ministering to homosexuals and relationship evangelism God's way. A must read for both Christians and non-Christians seeking insight in making theology accessible to people of all backgrounds and life circumstances.

I first read ...the Last One because the author is an animator that I've heard of with Turner Studios/Cartoon Network. I wanted to see how his creativity fared in writing instead of drawing. The plot was engrossing from the beginning. He has a way of introducing the characters that gives you an immediate attatchment. There was a lot of theology and religion woven in, but I found myself completely sucked in, even for a non-religious guy! And I must say, it was the most articulate explanation of Christian principles that I have heard without being 'preachy'. I finished it in three days, and that's saying something for me! Apparently the author is working on a 'prequel'. I'm looking forward to it.
¿¿the last one¿ challenged my walk with Christ. I have been profoundly impacted by a Christian fiction novel which engrossed me in images of Spiritual forces acting on behalf of God¿s people causing me to reflect on how awesome the LORD is, and leading me to experience Him differently. Jai Husband has been a tool used by the LORD to make us look at ourselves and our perspectives and laugh, cry, question, and study the Bible. Many of the preoccupations of modern society are confronted - - - race relations, personal identity crisis, lack of fulfillment, homosexuality, power struggles, theology without God, parent/child tensions, the end of the world¿
