Late Night Horror Show by Bryan Smith

When the movie starts, the horror becomes real.

It was a run-down old multi-plex in a seedy part of town. But it had a special late-night festival of the cheap horror movies one group of friends loved, movies filled with zombies, vampires and backwoods maniacs.

How could they know it was a very special screening indeed? After the friends split up and their chosen movies began, they found themselves transported out of the life they knew and into the blood-drenched worlds of the films. Worlds where the living dead roam the countryside, the decrepit mansion of a vampire and his minions dominates the night sky, and the shrill scream of a buzz saw is always right behind you.

Is there ANY way at all for Barnes and Noble to keep these stupid kids and their "kitty cat" role playing games off of the review sites? They need to be BANNED! It is so irritating to go to read the reviews about a book and find that crap! I always read the reviews about a book before I buy it. Seeing that drivel does not help me or the author or BN. I have started flagging all of these in hopes that something can be done. PLEASE HELP!! My real review on this book-- AWESOME! If you like good, old-fashioned horror then this is a book for you. I have read several of his books and he never disappoints!

...from one of horror fiction's best writers, and one of my favorites in the genre. A horror film fest, of the B movie variety, is taking place in an old, seemingly rundown, cineplex, and unbeknownst to several strangers, they are about to live the horrors they see on the screen. Will they each survive the zombie apocalypse, vampires, and maniacal backwoods killers? Read this brutal and unrelenting novel to find out! Highly recommended for fans of hardcore horror!

This book has a very different feel from any other horror novel I've read. To me, it reads very much like the1980's Waxwork 1 & 2 films where kids get trapped in alternate realities based on whatever waxwork they were looking at. Some were based on myth and history while others on film. It's an interesting take. Brian Smith balances the stories between campy horror and all out gore and I love it!!!

Haven't read much of this authors stories. This was a pretty good horror story. Some sex and plenty of blood and gore. A bunch of teenages/ young adults meet up and go to a horror festival. Some good to the show about zombies, some good to the one about vampire's and some good to the chain saw movie. All get transported into the movie they are watching. They are tipped off right before the show that something isn't right by the ticket seller and concession guy. Both look really strange. When the movies start, they see a bright flash of light and they are transported into the movies they are watching. Thus starts their adventures. Story jumps between the movies they are in. It is easy to follow as the story moves between movies. You get to know the characters at the beginning of the story and get a feel for each of them. You get to care about some of them and you get to dislike others. A character who is really bad in the being, turned out to be a hero later in the story. Really enjoyed this book and would read again. Had a pretty nice ending also.

A Spainish girl (spanish as in from Spain!) Skips in. She is wearing a white short sleeved blouse, the sleeves are puffy. She is wearing a long full black skirt made of silky material. She starts singing a spanish ballad in a silky high soprano voice.
