The leadership Habit is a recipe for leadership development. This is not a book of just “good ideas” but a recipe for developing the habits that make a great leader. As with any good recipe, the book is not about a quick fix but ideas that need to simmer, a blending of needed ingredients and actions, to produce results. The results are not one meal, but a meal plan that if applied, nourishes the leadership skills I hope to continue to develop. Unlike most leadership books that focus on one area of leadership based on an author’s area of interest, this book is based on core leadership competencies and 30 years of experience of individuals from 60 countries. The book covers every important skill all of us as managers and leaders know are important and lays out a process for developing these skills in a comprehensive way. Sprinkled with compelling stories and examples of individuals that have experienced success by applying these skills, the reader can visualize applying these skills in their own situation and is motivated to act. Each chapter leaves the reader with questions to answer and actions to take to apply the principles as well as develop good leadership habits. I highly recommend this book for Leaders and Managers looking to improve their leadership skills and develop a lifetime of good habits that have an impact on those they lead.
