Thunder rolled and lightening cracked the purple sky…
In the times before the feudal wars of Japan, a small basket drifts to shore on a stormy night. The basket is not found by a farmer or fisherman, but by a rogue ninja, the last of a fallen clan known only as the Silent Dragon. Inside is a western baby boy, clutching tightly to a silver cross around his neck.
Twenty three years pass and the baby grows into a man. But on the very day following the twenty third anniversary of his arrival, the village in which he’d grown falls under attack by none other than a group of western pirates. Seemingly out of time and place, these marauders contain within them supernatural powers, which they use to destroy the village and take the western ninja’s baby daughter captive.
With a ragtag group of survivors, the out of place ninja takes to the open seas in search of his child, and discovers along the way that his unnatural adversaries stand at the very heart of his unknown origins.
