I can't believe these are finally available for my Nook. I know it is four whole novels, but almost $30.00 for the paperback, is steep. I got my copy of To Kill a Witch at DragonCon signed by the author free, but I paid for the 2nd anthology in paperback, and now that the 3rd is out, I just bought it, but I saw that these are now Nook books and much more reasonable in ebook!!! The story here is amazing and no wonder it has won so many awards. From book 1 thru book 10 you'll see the authors amazing ability to leave nuggets of curiosity in the earlier books that build and just simply blow your mind in the latter books. Vanx is a mixed race character that catches crap from sides of his heritage and thus becomes a loner, but as he goes along he meets a pretty incredible crew. The crew doesn't fully gel until books 3 and 4, but from there thru book 10 it is pretty much the same unforgettable characters. Chelda is a lesbian barbarian who falls in love with Moonsy, an elf that is half her size, and Foxwise, a fierce elf, rides Vanx's dog. Then there is the princess (mild spoiler) She is your typical damsel in books one and two, but after Dragon's Isle she becomes a super badass! The heart tree and the fairy folk who live around it is amazing, and the evil witch who is trying to destroy it is a terrible, and formidable foe. And that is just these first four books. The second set of four books is even better, especially if you have read the author's other award winning series, The Dragoneer Saga. But I'll review it on its own page.
