This is a work of fiction but the author uses such illistrations in the story that you would think you were there and watching the story unfold. I so enjoyed the story of Jubal and everything that he went through to find his way. I also enjoyed the way the author uses the scriptures and other people in Jubal's life to be the Christian witness that he needs. A great history lesson also, the author is very knowledgable of the Civil War. I believe that anyone who reads this book will enjoy and be blessed by it. Amanda Rose
